a sideshow to what’s going on with LSU and Lane Kiffin. It is still the main topic of conversation on pregame shows, message boards, and all over sports media.
It really takes a mega brand in college sports to steal the thunder from a UGA/Bama Championship game.

If Alabama would happen to lose this game by more than 2 scores, we’ll see how meaningless it is. It will make for a very interesting playoff selection. Alabama fans will be sweating it out.

Main thing is Bama opens on the road in the playoff instead of home if they lose to GA.

Not for Georgia
Both teams are likely way too beat up to make a deep run in he playoffs.
12 teams enter the playoffs and only one will win their last game.
Meanwhile, winning this game has been a goal for several SEC teams that have never won an SEC championship.
It would be a pity for either of these two teams to take it for granted.
