LSU fans said the same thing when they hired Kelly after booting out Coach O, they say it now when they hired Lane and booting out Kelly, and they will say it when they fire Lane and hire the next “Saban Jr”. It’s a delusion with no end in sight.

Exhibit A for how creepy (some) LSU fans are approaching this.
They never did get real Nick to come back so now Lane is being regarded as some type of “surrogate-Nick / Second Coming of Nick”.
