to LSU. The best coaching hires in last 25 years are Saban to LSU, changed program to a point they were winning NCS's 10 years after he left. Next, Saban to Bama speaks for itself. Smart to UGA no explanation necessary. I think Kiffin to LSU could be the next big hire, he's the best offensive coach in college football. Say what you will about him personally he will make LSU football a must see. National titles are worth $100's of millions to these schools, that's why they are willing to pay 50, 60, 70 million buyouts. I will add what Kirby has done at UGA will bring untold amounts of money for many years. 1980 and number 34 are still living in the minds of us old coots, 2021and 2022 will do the same for decades.

If you’re familiar with Kiffin’s head coach history, there is zero indication he’ll win anything at LSU and he sure as hell won’t be like Saban.

The kiffin slobbering is odd. Good coach, great offensive mind. Had a top 5 roster last year and didn't even make the playoffs.

Glad he's not going to UF, cause he probably would revive them but the fan fare doesn't match the resume

I have appreciated the drama on this board and twitter though. I love this sport.

Got his autographed picture on the living room wall. Right beside my autographed Dale Murphy Sports Illustrated cover.

Nope. My brother saw him at a function and got it for me. Said Walker talked to him for a while and truly a good dude.

The one constant with Kiffen is that he always has been, and always will be an arse clown.

Nah, he is self destructive and good for in game helmet fires that self sabotages winnable games.

Cajuns will be far less patient and I think this ends the same has his tenure at SoCal.

What. Has. The. Man. Accomplished?

Tennessee, USC & Ole Miss are not Florida Atlantic.

There's absolutely no indication that he will have the sort of next level success that the tiger fan base is hoping that he will bring. I like LSU. I am extremely fond of them as a program and as a fan base, and I think they can do better than Lane.

He has the potential to win big, but he needs some degree of evolution to get over himself before that's going to be possible. Even at this point, it's all still about him individually, and that is utter BS.

Yeah, he has led Ole Miss to their most successful football season ever, but even in the face of that he is willing to abandon them for a shinier destination. That is what we call failing a character test.

Agreed. This is the only upside to the whole ordeal.

Kiffin is his own worst enemy. That has been the rule and it hasn't changed one bit.

Who is "better than" Lane??

You're right of course...I was thinking about this today and for the loony $$$ they're paying him I feel like some NFL guys could've been in play.

No fan of Kiffin but CFB HC's have been leaving for "shinier destinations" since CFB was invented and includes but not limited to: Bear Bryant,Bobby Bowden,Nick Saban,Steve Spurrier,Johnny Majors,John Heisman,Woody Hayes,Bo Schembechler, etc. Some were worse than others (Bryant,Heisman) but you get the point.

I'd think the NFL route would be the kind of pick I would think they'd be looking the make, but with only 2/3 of the NFL season being in the books, how do you get your guy before the recruiting cycle is totally over?

I'm not saying it's unique to Kiffin, but it's certain only amplified due to his rolling stone tendencies.

I got to meet Hershel and talk to him a while at a function last year. Got some great photos with him. I took my 1980 Sports Illustrated with him on the cover and a Hershel For Heisman bumper sticker from 1982. He signed them for me.

Kiffin to LSU already looks a lot like Kelly to LSU with LSU fans bragging about the hire and making fun of Ole Miss.
Karma is a bitch and would not be surprised to see her make another unwelcome visit to Kiffin and LSU.
