Not really. It is the same as not coaching a bowl game. That has happened a lot.
Don't blame the coach. Blame the NCAA and the schedule they decided. Early signing day, transfer portal, etc

That just shows you how much better LSU is as a program. Someone would rather go be the coach at another school than coach a team in the college football playoffs.

No, it’s not. LSU is playing in a bowl game. They played in a bowl game last year. And the year before.
You fired your coach because you’re not in the playoffs.

Yeah it’s a pretty dick move. And for anyone who ever set foot on a football field and played a full season with a team… we all know it’s a bitch move. But hey man he got paid and LSU got a solid coach. Props to them.
