re: Bird flu came from U.S. lab

I’ve seen an interview saying they can’t figure out how it keeps coming back after killing off whole sections of chickens that usually takes care of it. . They said it’s almost like a drone keeps dropping the virus in areas.

I have a 22 Camry SX I guess. Sporty one 4cy. Gets about 37mpg. 75k miles so far, no problems.

Atc has some blame here. Should’ve given traffic 10 o’clock and altitude. Should’ve told helicopter to turn at some point before collision. Should’ve been almost a mile separation.
Even if helicopter is at 200 ft and passes that close underneath airliner that controller is getting fired and it’s a big deal.

re: Woah.. has anyone watched this video of the plane crash?

And you can blink and climb 100ft on accident. Or just a small wind gust. He should’ve been a mile away from that plane, and was obviously focused on another one
re: Why so many Texas plates in Louisiana over last few months?
Posted by matsuflex on 1/7/25 at 10:47 am
About 90% are Texas plates on my 530am drive on hwy90 between MC and Houma. Mostly shipyards I’d imagine. Been that way since the border opened up last few years.
I’m assuming they pick up a car and get licensed in Texas before finding work and a place to live out of state. I can’t believe Louisiana is cool with losing out on all those taxes and fees to Texas, and not making them register here at some point.

There is no way to prevent all these things from happening. If someone is determined to kill people, they will find a target.
I could name easier targets with a truck than this one that would’ve been worse.
This could have be devastating if he did this while it was packed and not 3am.

They have to say if it’s imported. So the ones that failed are lying and breaking the law.
I’ve read that there’s been thousands of violations since the law in Louisiana and not once has any place faced fines or punishment yet.

ERA doesn’t spray mosquitoes. Doing training flights for search and rescue most likely if at night. That’s a big one. Helicopters that spray do it in small shitty ones during daytime.
Mosquito spraying gets done by trucks down here 99% of the time anyway

I saw Obama wanted Kelly to replace Biden, but Kamala took it.
This makes me want Ron nowhere near the White House now.

re: Is it more difficult to become an airline pilot or a fighter pilot?
Posted by matsuflex on 12/5/24 at 4:18 pm
As far as the free military option goes. You can also do a non flying job in the guard or Active duty and get most of the cost of civilian training paid for while your in or after you get out also. (Try to get one that’s related (air traffic, mechanic, etc)
This is sometimes a better option to become a pilot.
Most military pilots aren’t getting many flight hours, and I’ve seen some after 10+ years get out with as much flight time as a kid one year out of civilian school. You won’t be walking into an airline job.

You don’t know what you will fly in the military.
Just getting a spot is a big IF.
Not washing out of training is a big IF.
If you aren’t one of the best in your class you will be in a cargo type plane.
The majority of candidates who don’t make the cut will serve out their contract in another career field such as Support, Mechanics, security, Electronics, Scheduling. Etc. (I’d bet 90% of the Air Force officers had plans to be a pilot when they enlisted)

It was ridiculous and all Comey. I’m sure Obama or Clinton could’ve put a quick end to it.
She still voted for Kamala though, because she doesn’t like Trump!

re: Rickie Collins first player to enter Transfer Portal
Posted by matsuflex on 12/1/24 at 3:18 pm
This is what happens when the #1 QB recruit is coming to take your spot in the order all year long. He’s been making plans for awhile now, and I’m sure chances are better he stays if Underwood flips earlier.
re: Not to pile on Swann but man, that was a very bad cameo
Posted by matsuflex on 12/1/24 at 2:00 pm
Everyone was convinced Underwood was gonna be here soon. You have to think a one of these young guys were gonna transfer and may have a destination already. Interesting situation now.

I would guess some are paid cash and still claim whatever government handouts they can for being migrants.
re: Two week before signing day…

You won’t see a good portal QB come here if Nuss is coming back. They come to start right away
re: Did your church discuss the election?
Posted by matsuflex on 11/3/24 at 10:16 pm
I’ve heard of these Catholic charities paying for the Illegal migration flights and with the Liberal Pope I’m sure there is more democrat support than you’d guess.
More South American Catholics shipped into town = more money for the churches.

re: Does Nuss come back or go to draft?
Posted by matsuflex on 10/31/24 at 10:26 am
Draft insider was saying yesterday that word going around the NFL teams is that most do not want to draft QBs with less than 20 college starts and will be telling them to not enter draft until at least then. Because they will not be NFL ready and not get the game experience in the NFL before they can be. (Specifically mentioned Nussmeier only having 8 ish starts)
This is what they are blaming the high failure rate for guys like Richardson.
And why J Daniels and Nix have done so well this year.
He will be back I’m sure of it.
That being said does that make it less likely top QBs will ever wait 3 years to play again? Knowing one great year isn’t enough they need to be starter for 2-3 yrs.

re: Losing most our OL may not be a bad thing for next year for running
Posted by matsuflex on 10/28/24 at 9:20 am
The offense is the problem. Not the personnel. Run game has been shite ever since LSU went to this wide open pass first offense. There needs to be a better balance of formations and not only from shotgun running only in obvious situations.

Lifetime ban. I thought it was always well known they wouldn’t put him in as long as he was alive.
