Take Bama -4.5
While it's trending and popular to think AU will pull the upset with a night game in JHS, reality points the opposite direction. AU has been really good against the run and bama's run game is not very good, but bama's passing game is very solid and AU pass defense is lackluster at best. The AU offensive line is still not very good and bama's defensive line is solid.
IF Auburn can establish the run game early, we may be able to keep it close for a while, but there will need to be quite a few mistakes made by the bama offense and a near perfect game from Auburn to even make this a one-score game.
Bet the farm on bama to cover.

As an Auburn fan I have to agree. Never take Auburn when we are the vanity pick to upset X. For us to pull the upset usually it is a universal guarantee that we will lose, and we pull something out our arse.
That being said, something hasn't seemed right about Bama all year, despite their 9-2 record. It would not exactly shock me if we pulled the upset.

I think Auburn wins, but probably won’t touch that game.

This is why we have no chance.

As a Bama fan there is zero chance I ever bet on Bama, regardless of the points, in JHS. No way. That's a fast and easy way to lose money.

Auburns QB looked unstoppable his last game.

Agreed. Bet the farm on Alabama. They can't lose!

He had a nice stat line, going 31/44 for 353 yards passing and 18 carries for 89 yards... but Vandy isn't really a team known for its stingy defense.

It’s the OL.
Ty needs 10 years to throw and half the OL is a different type of OL than what Kalen DeBoer uses in his scheme. So not only is it not useful in the running game but it affects Ty’s passing because teams can lock in on passing downs knowing Ty is gonna pass.
Austin or Keelon will have it much easier next year when our OL is made up of small (relatively) and fast linemen with lateral quickness and running backs with toughness and ability to hit the hole with confidence. Playoffs is a must but this was always gonna be a patchwork year. Really should never take 3 years to filter in your own OL but I guess that’s the price we pay with Kalen.
That’s why I think people need to hush with that fire Kalen talk too. People don’t understand he’s systematically replacing our entire team with his philosophy. Tall DBs. Tall WRs. Small OLs. Fast RBs. Smaller and faster front. Absolute goliaths in the pocket (outside of Trent).
That comes with every coach but Kalen philosophically is everything that Nick is not and another coach would be another 3 year turnover that absolutely does not need to happen.

Not only would I not bet Alabama, I don’t even watch the game when we play at JHS.

Honestly, Alabama would be better off getting prepped for the SECCG.
Our starting qb is benched. Our team captain left the team a month ago. Our bright side, the defense, has been smoked by Vandy and Mercer. Vandy scored 14 on Alabama -- they scored 45 on us.
Did I mention we fired our head coach as well?

If you don’t know the history of the IB in JHS, by all means take Bama.
JHS is Bama’s Bermuda Triangle.

Yeah because Bama has been a really good team that played a really hard schedule and won close games without ever giving any sense that the roster this year is anywhere close to as dominant as it was during the Saban era.
It’s just a quality team that had been getting elite QB and defensive play but that is now struggling under center meaning the margin for error is even smaller.
