They won’t limit B1G teams. And there will be at least two B12 teams. One scrub from the ACC. SEC might get five, more likely four. Same as the B1G

4 teams or 5, they'll be a speed bump on Ohio State's road to the national title.

If Michigan beats OSU, they will jump Vandy and OU.

B1G 4
SEC 4
ACC 1
Big12 1
ND
Group of Five 1

That’s your playoff this year.

So Michigan goes in front of Oklahoma, the team Oklahoma beat?

Notre Dame goes in front of Miami, the team that Miami beat?

That makes perfect sense.

The sec is a lock for 5 teams in … Michigan winning won’t knock any of them out OU beat Michigan already .

Michigan was uncompetitive in a loss to OU. There’s zero chance Michigan goes in at OUs expense unless OU loses to LSU

You think the committee would jump Michigan over OU, with the same record? Oh and then there’s that head to head win, where OU dominated Michigan…

Not happening.

This is a double edge sword. On one hand SEC fans want the conference bragging rights over other conferences. But on the other do we really want to be playing other SEC teams in the playoff considering how hard SEC teams get after each other.

I was thinking about this. If the current playoff schedule held, there would be 3 of 4 first round games with SEC teams. If they all won, and the matchups look like it’s more than possible, 5 of the 8 teams in the second round would be SEC. Every second round game would have an SEC team in it and A&M playing Ol Miss.

I’m sure they would all be good games but damn SEC teams try to butcher each other lol. Those games would probably be the best out of the whole playoff.

The only chance of limiting the Big10 is for a marginal Washington team to beat Oregon. But the voters this year are in love with the Ducks and would keep them in over better 10-2 teams.
