Is there more to it than Coach mentioned in the post-game pc? Is there concern the Auburn might cheat and listen to our play-calls?

Don't they have encrypted audio?

Over the radio, yes... but what about the booth itself

Wouldn't put it past the boogs.
There are devices now where you can aim a laser at glass and hear what is being said in the room.

They did it during the game down there in 2009 when we almost lost. Ingram was held to 29 yards that day. It was being discussed by players and fans after the game.

Grubb was on the sidelines because they didn't have a gameplan. They were running base offense. He was down there to lend some coaching since young guys were going to be on the field for large portions of the game.

I don’t think it’s at all ridiculous to expect that other teams are using advanced technology to steal signals.
I’d actually be very interested to know how the in helmet to coaches box tech works but unless it’s encrypted it’s pretty easy to intercept.
And if you can intercept the signal with the defensive in helmet tech you could certainly get it to the defense in time for it to make a difference.

not only that, the communication was much better and I think he'll be down there for Auburn game.

Hitler reversed engineered Alien Tech in the 40s. No telling what Auburn has.
.....This board is getting more retarded as the season progresses. At least, Ty Simpson peaked.

Are you suggesting teams haven’t been caught stealing signals and signs or just being a dick on a Sunday morning because that’s your default setting?

They created a traffic jam in 2009. They slicked down their field in 2015. Don’t ever put anything past those clowns when it comes to this game.

I don't think they would go out of their way to stage a wreck and cause a traffic jam but the hotel fire alarms and prank calls were definitely peak Auburn fan behavior from that decade.

Probably this.
....BUT putting the Auburn Tigers on the same level of the KGB, deliberately causing wrecks, etc. is wild. That shite should be ridiculed.

Haha fair enough.

Auburn knows more about our injury and coaching situations than we do. Some of them are as committed to beating Bama as we are to winning championships.
I don’t give a single F about them specifically but with the technology being something you can buy on Amazon, teams spending $25M on rosters and a recent champion just being popped for highly organized signal/sign stealing I don’t think the concept is that crazy.

Auburn has people in their athletic department whose only job is to monitor Alabama websites and social media. They’re fricking obsessed lunatics. Back in the early days of the Saban era they hired private investigators to stalk our recruits to see what kind of cars they were driving. Or how about when their booster in Gulf Shores tried to frame Julio and Ingram before the 2009 season during the fishing trip incident.

That’s been around for decades. Certain government buildings have copper infused glass that dissipates the lasers ability

I know for a fact because I saw and heard it personally that their SID staff practically had ejaculatory orgasms if they heard we’d lost.

Pretty sure it was talked about the day before on a boog message board. Came out later.

I believe that Auburn would move their mower decks up and leave the sprinklers on too long the night before or morning of their field. That cornball gamesmanship is a tactic as old as football itself. Pulling fire alarms at the team's hotel is also a pretty common tactic too.
However, the suggestions of nation-state espionage level signal interception is a bit much for me. I do seem to remember some chatter about message boarders discussing contriving a wreck at a bad choke point to the stadium ahead of the opponent's arrival though. It's a bit insane but hell, one of our sidewalk fan gumps poisoned some trees over the rivalry so not out of the realm.

Barn was stealing comms around 2011. They would stoop to anything to bring down Bama.
