No one else on the team has even attempted a field goal. It may just be that the backups are even worse.

Because the backup is not better.

A better question is why DeBoer didn’t have a better plan than Talty for kicker this year.

Did you see the back up's PAT?

That's why.

I have to think they’ll look at the portal for kicker this cycle. But carrying more than one kicker on scholarship is usually rare. Though they did last year.

I feel like DeBoer trotted Notaro out there to prove the point. We need to hope Talty gets it figured out because he’s the only one who can strike it well enough when everything is clicking.

As for Talty...if he's the best we have, then after today he's probably actually happy it's a road game next week.

Isn't the backup like a former 5 star recruit? It's crazy we've got 4 guys that apparently couldn't make the kick challenge on College Gameday.

4 syllables, 5 depending on how you pronounce things.

Did you see the other guys that tried PATs? We are clearly not in a good spot there.

We should have walk-on's better than this.

BAMA and aTm are the only two SEC teams below 73% on FG's.

.............Att-Made.........%
aTm........14-22.........63.64
BAMA.....11-18.........61.11

Talty is at the Cade Foster/ Pappanastos level. Very frustrating

Trust me the backup is way worse.

It’s simple. Go for everything on 4th. Why even risk it? Lol

Just continue to support Talty, no matter how we feel about his performance. For what we know, he might do well against auburn..

90% of the time we have kickers that suck. I don't get it.

I agree, I support the guy I’m just saying play the numbers. We are in a winner take all, Caesar was faced a similar situation against Pompey before Pharsalus. He told his men if they didn’t win, they would all die. With this motivation they defeated a superior Pompey force. Will we treat this game as such?

Hopefully DeBoer and his staff have an understanding as to how tough going on the road in the SEC at this point. He didn’t handle it well up until the mid point of this season. Can the team handle the environment and the pressure of being behind ? Auburn will try to jump on us early, let their defense go to work and keep their crowd in it. Can Ty handle that or will he crumble like he did at FSU ?
