I mean, I don't think he warrants being the highest paid coach in CFB by any stretch, but how exactly is he "failing" this year?

Saban never even got 14-15M. Kiffin couldn't sniff Saban's jock as a coach

Careful bro, he might be the highest paid coach in college football and staying at Ole Miss. Just saying, be careful talking shite, it isn’t over.

We have no championship hardware yet from his tenure here.

Maybe we sneak into the SEC Title game, maybe we get hot and make it to finals. Shy of that, he got us some 10 win seasons at least.

Yeah, he’s not failing upward. In fact he’s massively succeeding but definitely leaving us over a barrel in the process. No question about it.

I guess it's a matter of perspective. I don't want Kiffin at Alabama.

In his career I think he has 2 wins over top5 teams. His record against ranked teams in general isn't good.

Sure Ole Miss is doing a little better, but you still haven't reached the same heights Freeze took you. Oh you make the playoffs? Well that doesn't mean much these days if it's near the 12th spot. Freeze would have accomplished that in 2015.

One of the worst NFL coaches in history. Failed at a blue blood in large part because he couldn't keep his mouth shut and couldn't back it up. Similar to him telling everyone to get their popcorn ready and what not before the Alabama game.

And of course, bailed on Tennessee for the blue blood mentioned, taking as much as he could in the form of recruits with him. That combined with the Derek Dooley hire set Tennessee way back.

Gets hired by Alabama, but gets fired in his final week because his loyalty is to himself and he couldn't fulfill his existing commitment.

But the Alabama offenses and such give him hype. He does decently at FAU by bringing in some talent with the name and hype. Continues to do that at Ole Miss, although still loses to better teams constantly and has been lucky enough to avoid many teams this year. Still got a win over Oklahoma which was nice, but lost the other difficult game unless I'm missing one somewhere.

Meanwhile, he's probably going to continue his ways, take another job and raid the Ole Miss program with him.

The draw is he is a pretty good offensive mind and he's pretty young. If he matures a bit he could end up being a great coach. He has done that a significant amount of that compared to 20 years ago, but he's still not ripe. Maybe if he stays at Ole Miss for awhile longer he'll show he's changed, or at least if had held off until after Ole Misses last playoff game. Then I'll change my mind, but for now I see Kiffin being Kiffin.

Doing this at Ole Miss is equivalent to winning natties at a powerhouse school. Sorry

Ole Miss is Tier 2.

LSU is Tier 1

The decision is easy.

What he has done at a mid tier power 5 school is very impressive. What he would be able to do at a school like LSU could be historic.

I mean the guy has done a great job making Ole Miss a contender has stuck around for 5-6 years finally got his life in order and is one of the youngest bright intelligent offensive minds in the game.

Also to add he understands and competes coaching wise at the toughest and highest levels in the best conference in the country.

You can dismiss him all you want because you think you are going to lose him now but those are the facts.

Can’t wait to hear from you when and if he stays at Ole Miss.

You all will be ecstatic.

I've never understood the hoopla about Kiffin.
