I say probably so, but I want chaos. Hoping Bama, Ole Miss, and OU lose during rivalry week and Vandy wins last 2 games. I think OU wins last 2 games. I think Bama and Vandy get beat on the road and won’t be surprised if Moo U pulls the upset.

No especially if kiffin walks. They’ll pull the same reasoning as they did with FSU a few years ago.

Our likelihood at getting in with a loss only drops us down to like 85% or something like that.

We are essentially playing for a home game next week.

I think they slip behind Miami...they would need massive help to stay, ie Mizzou over OU, Auburn over Alabama, etc.

No they won’t. Mainly because it’s not just a 4 team playoff and they’re not going to keep out a 10-2 Ole Miss team but keep a 10-2 Oklahoma team in.

Wrong. We beat OU head to head in Norman. Unless you’re going to argue that won’t matter. In which case

Depends but that ESPN calculator is a joke. Like when it had James Madison with a good chance to get the group of 5 slot. That was never a possibility for them to get it over the American conference champ.

Ole miss isn't losing to State. Not with the king of retards at the helm.

In fact, I could see Kiffin running the score up so high that it winds up getting Lebby fired -- which isn't even in the cards and nobody is calling for, but if it's a 58- 10 arse whipping (and it will be if Kiffin has any say in it), then it's gonna be bedlam in Starkville.

Miami also beat Notre Dame head to head, where are they?

Losing to Miss St would be considered an ugly loss...then if you start comparing resumes, you look at games where Ole Miss struggled with Florida and Washington State. Ole Miss has wins over OU and Tulane. Oklahoma would have wins over Alabama, Michigan, Tennessee, and Mizzou

just sayin, it could get dicey...

So because we “struggled” against Washington State and Florida, that would totally just negate us beating Oklahoma in Norman if it came down to us or them?

Nah.

There’s a lot of assumption in here that no one else in the top 12 will lose before the season ends.

The committee doesnt value head to head. They value quality wins. If 10-2 OU and Ole Miss were on the chopping block they would take OU because OU has more quality wins. They said the same thing last year about how Bama if they went 10-2 deserved to be in over Tennessee. Its also timing. OU is the hottest team in the country and an Ole Miss loss to end the year would look terrible

The only way I see State winning is if Kiffin decides to throw the game.

I think you underestimate the silliness of the committee. There’s no criteria and there’s no amount of mental gymnastics that group can’t do to get the games espn wants.

It damn sure would. But Mississippi State isn’t winning next Friday. Unless the QB sneak gives OM trouble.

The funniest thing is if Kiffin doesn't walk, yet this distraction causes an absolute sellout to State, then he gets the privilege to sign a crippling agreement to "keep on keeping on" after an early exit
