On the sack fumble play

quote:

With the pressure they brought, he's got to get rid of it and be okay throwing it away. You can only hold on so long. With the blitz they had, you're going to get overwhelmed and outnumbered, so you have to understand the situation. I know it's third down and he wants to stay on the field, but you've got to understand your defense is playing pretty good, too, and live with punting once in a while.

On Ty in general

quote:

No, I think we had enough quick game, enough quick throws. We were pretty efficient doing it, and guys were making plays. I thought he managed it well. This game could have gone a whole different direction. One play got him with the pressure and the interception for a touchdown, then the strip sack. Most of the snaps we played pretty good football, but the big ones really hurt us

Could tell he was frustrated, he generally doesn't say much negative

Hopefully Austin Mack gets a lot of run against Western Illinois. Ty has hit a wall.

He should be livid and express that during practice, fix the issues and finish the season with pride. I hope that happens.

This is what some of us have been trying to say but others don't understand.

Think if Ty just would throw the ball away? That pick 6 doesn't happen. That fumble doesn't happen.

They literally are throwing exotic all out blitz at times and our QB is trying to hold it for 4 to 5 seconds. It's madness.

He would get crushed in the NFL for doing that.

Didn't he? Hasn't he?

Did he and Grubb beat it into Ty's head he had to get rid of balls, needed to play on a shorter clock?

Didn't the commentators remind us every time Ty would hold on that his coaches told him not to?

Lol. No. Nothing will change. No personnel changes.

Next week will be a tune up game.

So it will be just about as vanilla as possible.

There is zero chance Ty is benched. But we kind of ride or die with him through the rest of the season

The guy who keeps trotting Jam Miller and Wilkin Formby out there wants someone to make better decisions.

Formby had a decent day at RG.

Jam should be buried so deep in the bench that we don't see him till he takes graduation pictures with KDB.

Weren’t there people in the game thread saying exactly this. People kept blaming the blocking, and it was at times quite poor, but Ty was responsible for some stuff.

Formby is directly responsible for the strip sack not TY. He literally had about 2 seconds because the RG whiffed on his block and almost got TY killed. OL play is the biggest issue on the team with our kicker being #2.

It's a shame our backups haven't had any significant playing time since early September, something Ohio State can't say.

Thanks, Sankey, you pedo looking freak.

On the final drive they had 8 guys stacked within 3 yards of the LOS and he didn’t get a hot read in.

A 5 yard slant probably puts us into field goal range with the YAC.

Whether we get a good snap and FG attempt…?

You mean like the one he threw for a pick 6?

You think our OC would trust him to throw that when he sees how badly his accuracy has been and wants something safe with now hands to deflect or intercept?

Do you know how easy a flat throw is suppose to be for a QB?

That is what Grubb gave Ty for 4th down and he threw it a yard behind and low on the WR.

Ty had two passes; 2nd and 4th down abd blew both with low poor efforts and somehow it's everyone's fault but his

Our offense is mediocre. Ty won us some games, but he has joined the rest of the offense as being mediocre at this point. In most of the games he got credit for winning there was not much pressure on him. He cannot play when pressured. I don't see how we can make the playoffs at this point much less winning a game if we get there. Georgia is the best looking team in the SEC. Georgia and Texas A&M are the only two teams in the SEC that may be competitive in the playoffs. Hope they compete better than the SEC did last year.

If the receiver runs his route the pick 6 doesn’t happen.

I swear it’s like none of you watched it.

I'd like for a reporter to ask him why we have the worst running game in the history of the program.
