I gave up on CKD and this program after the FSU disaster. I won't do the same thing today. I think this team is still good enough to win it all. Have to win at Jordan-Hare. Lose that and it will be the most toxic off-season we've had around here in awhile. The Auburn game is the biggest game of CKD's tenure. If we win, today's game doesn't matter much. If we lose, it's the beginning of the end.

This is why I wanted a win today. Sets up the Auburn game to be bigger than it should be.

If Ty wakes up we can win it all.

However this version of Ty will have us lose to Auburn. I don't know what the heck happened.

Since his father being on TV and rhe rat poison from Heisman talked poured in his play has gone down.

It's not the beginning of the end. People fail to realise the garbage CKD inherited. The Saban's staff was very poor at evaluating players over the last 5 to 8 years.

Won't have to worry about that now. Maybe that'll be good for him.

No. It won't. The guy is all messed up in the head. Too cerebral for his own good.

On the flip side, if we win today, maybe the team is checked out against fAU? At least now they have no reason to overlook that game.

Maybe this helps them to refocus, like they did after the FSU loss?

The team from 5 years ago was one of the best teams in CFB history. Try again

The entire game hinged on turnovers. It’s weird to have that many in a game. Compliment OU’s defense for that, but it’s also on the players for not executing.

CKD is a great coach. The OL is suspect at best. Ty shouldn’t have to be running for his life after 1.5/2 seconds. Not saying he should have all day, but 75 is practically useless, and some of the other linemen are too slow and get no push.

TL;DR - Alabama can win out. Hell, they may do better in the playoffs than we expect. But some of the players need to get better.

That was a dumb take. Saban couldn’t recruit last 5 to 8 years??
How quickly we want to trash our heroes.

Yeah. and how many years back was their initial evaluation? At least 8 years. Did we have a qb on the roster after BY? Running back? How's the Oline been. Remember those two brothers who were supposed to be so good. Kayden Proctor says, "Hi." Formby says, "Hello" too.

It's not just on Ty.

Lottie missed the easy tackle on the 1st punt coverage that resulted in 3 points for Oklahoma.

Ryan Williams fumbles the punt leading to 7 points for Oklahoma.

Talty missed a chip shot.

We outgained them by 200 yards.

Yes, the Pick Six was bad. But we win that game if any of the three situations above don't happen.

We had 1 qb whos in the Heisman race. He plays at Ohio St now. And we had a pretty good running back who was leading the nation in ypg. before he got hurt....... at Michigan

Yep, this is my point in the other topic. It doesn't matter if I think they should fire him today or not (I do not) but I can tell you if the man can't put together a solid 60 minutes from his players in two weeks then he's a dead man walking. He damn well may zombie his way through 2027 because of the money owed to him. Assuming the product is still competitive - albeit not to the standard Alabama is paying him to achieve - and not an implosion like UF and LSU experienced this year from their coaches.

He has turned an Iron Bowl in Jordan-Hare into an ultimatum on his regime here. That's his fault for the sloppy, fiddly-frick product he put on the field today.

People have to realize this isn't Saban in 2015. The world has changed. Parity has entered the chat. Most every SEC game is coming down to one score.

Saban knew it.

The goal is to get to the playoffs. We still have a chance at that.

It IS very frustrating to watch this team not be physical, to watch it not have an effective run game. Oklahoma has been the physical team in the last two matches.
