It really only takes a couple of good hires, a talented roster and some luck to have that one special season. There is SO much luck involved in winning a championship.

I view it as a step ^^ up, Ed is the only one with an NC.
He knows the conference & recruiting environment, he knows how to hire an SEC caliber staff and he knows to let them do their jobs without interference. IF he's got his head on straight and he's focused and wants to coach at the SEC level again; Arkansas would be lucky to get him.

Orgeron to Oregon State would be funny and huge culture shock.
I feel like teams call Oregeron for job interest every 3 months and he just says, "Sure I'll coach your team" and then rambles about some other shite. Then they hang up and the person on the other end tells the room, "We need to keep looking..."
