Imagine you are looking for a job. A reputable company has an opening and its a good fit for someone of your skillset and experience. You then learn the previous employee was fired in disgrace when they performed at a level that would be considered above average for most, but not this company. Then you learn this former employee is owed a large severance. Regulatory bodies start meddling and drawing attention to the severance package and claim they will have some control over the hiring process to ensure the compensation structure is reduced for the new hire. Then you learn the company is attempting to deny the full severance package to the former employee and the former employee is filing a lawsuit over it. Would you be interested in applying for this job? Would you consider this a good company to work for?

If I was near the end of my career and knew I was only coaching 3 or so more years anyway maybe but only if 2 years worth of salary pays more than the total amount of what I have left at my current position.

Yep. That sums it up pretty nicely. Our state of affairs at the State level and University Level is a complete embarrassment. Base on the way things are running, a few facts, a couple hires, and these are my expectations.

First the Facts:
1) BK needed to go. So just send him on his way.
2) Our Governor is a clown. We are aware. Garrett Graves tried to warn everyone but we didn't listen.
3) We ran off a legit University President because he didn't see eye to eye with our Governor.
4) We hired a rent-a-cop University President from McNeese University.
5) We ran off a AD who had a NC in football, NC in baseball, NC in womens basketball, and NC in gymnastics (Baseball, Womens basketball, and gymnastics were his hires). Yes he shite the bed with BK hire but on paper... I get it.
6) We then promoted a staffer into the AD role. Another rent-a-cop hire.
7) Now lawsuit with BK because LSU thinks they can get a reduction in the total if they threaten to release the info on the co-ed BK slept with during year two of his employement.

Prediction:
LSU completely fumbles the ball on the HC hire opportunity because of how bad the job looks at the National stage thanks to our clown Governor. We'll either keep Frank Wilson or hire the McNeese football coach ....because in a single year our clown governor has turned the LSU Program into a Dollar General Francise.

Then, you learn the previous employed person didn't even know his employee's names. Then, you learn that person would disappear from work at the most important times without even letting anybody know that he was leaving. Then, you learned that he would sit in his office and drink wine during work hours. Then, you learned that he played over four hundred rounds of golf on just one of many golf courses in the area during his tenure during working hours. Then, you learn he liked his real estate agent a little bit too much much to the chagrin of his wife. Then, you learn he called all the other employees entitled and spoiled right to their faces and was combative with others. Then, you learn other employees in the building knew all this was going on.But never said anything. Then you learn that former employees that used to be able to hang around and help with morale and workouts weren't even allowed to show up in the building anymore.
Maybe just maybe he wasn't the person that he's being made out to be...maybe he deserved to be, let go for cause.... And maybe you should take the job and do a better job.

It's almost as if you need serious professionals pulling the levers of power instead of populist dipshits whose opinions are molded by Facebook's algorithm.

I would almost agree if not for transfer rule and NIL…. kids will not pay attention to this…. Kids want to play and get paid plain and simple.

Did Aggy buy players with money from Qatar?

At what point do the players start looking at this situation and start wondering if any promises made by LSU would be honored if they come to the school to play?

Got to think some of these big HS players and portal players will worry about having a deal pulled out from under them later if they don’t preform. I’m sure that’s what coaches around the country will be telling recruits anyway.

Imagine being an Aggie saying LSU is n a deep hole when they’ve never lived to see any success in their entire athletic program.

THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN RIGHT???

It’s weird that no one said those things here until he was fired. (It’s not weird.)

I mean, have you seen the odds for the next LSU coach?

Saban, followed by Kiffin, followed by Brady.

Unless you think these sports books are idiots, pretty good chance one of these three is the next coach.

So yeah, there are plenty of competent guys looking at the job regardless of the ridiculous shite going on.

Its funny how much you guys focus on the governor in this situation. You all fricked this up well before he ever got involved by going off half cocked and firing kelly with no plan in place. You would think you would be at least as smart as Tennessee and get the dirt lined up prior to firing the coach.

Nope, instead you are trying the brilliant "Simon didnt say you were fired" strategy, which is sure to succeed.

Did I say something inaccurate?

If you’re so sure that I have, you should be out there betting the don’t on all of these coaches.

Which of course you aren’t.
