Keep in mind, SEC Network games are not metered, so if your team gets picked for SEC Network a lot, it is effectively a zero for that week.

I would think that the Disney/espn issue had some affect, more so for SEC.

You know fired our coach right..no one wants to watch our games. Guarantee for sure if Lane was here it would be like when Meyer was here...top 5 viewership pretty much every season. Very sad the top coaches in your history can't even crack the top 5..very, very sad.

Of those besides Oklahoma I probably watch more Texas games than any of the others.

Sounds like a shitty fanbase.
Gator fans were giving us crap for trying to sell the USC tickets they returned, yet you cannot even get people to watch your games on TV. How lazy and worthless are Gator fans

Being in the top 10 seems decent for a 3 win team.

average viewers per ABC and ESPN appearance is a better metric.

Where’s Mizzou?
I think we have only had 2 games on ESPN/ABC. So we are probably around the 8 million mark.

Do they give a trophy for this ?

The top 5 are pretty explanatary

We are well behind others higher in the list but I’m frankly surprised (and pleased) my school still cracks the Top 25 after so many seasons now of not being a factor nationally.
NU has lost a lot of its luster in the football world over these past couple of decades but at least the fanbase remains top notch.

You forgot the mighty mizzou

We’re getting to the point in the season where the total and the average for most teams doesn’t affect the ranking much.
Mizzou is #28 in total viewers and #31 in average viewers.
The only teams in the SEC that see a big difference is Tennessee and Ole Miss…
Tennessee gets a big boost if you go by average because they’ve only played 4 metered games and that Georgia game really skews their average upwards. They are #11 in total viewers but jump to #5 if you go by average. They are the only team near the top to only play 4 metered games though as most have played 6 or 7.
Ole Miss is the opposite. They have 7 games played on metered markets, so their total looks higher… coming in at #8. But if you look at the average, they fall way back to 14th.

Not close.
6.99 million for the Bama game on ABC
3.07 million for the Vandy game on ESPN.
1.85 million for the S Carolina game on ESPN
1.83 million for the Kansas game on ESPN2
.10 million for the UMass game on ESPNU
Thats an average of 2.768 million per game.

Two bye weeks vs. one bye week, too.
