Week 1: 4.0 million viewers
Week 2: 2.6
Week 3: 2.7
Week 4: 2.8
Week 5: 2.3
Week 6: 2.8
Week 7: 2.7
Week 8: 2.7
Week 9: 2.5
Week 10: 2.0
A 20% drop in viewers from a week ago, and a 28% drop from the previous 9-week average.
They need to get the deal with YouTube TV done or this will be the new norm for them.

what was it last year? the 4.0 in week 1 was probably due to Corso and it being opening weekend...
Not going to lie, when your team gets to 3 losses, you start checking out...that's a vast majority of the teams now...

Dunno. Could also be a one off.
Pretty weak slate and Utah v UC wasn't a big fan attention draw either for a host site.
Plus, it's week 10. Some seasons are over.

I’d like to see that compared over years. Probably the same drop off every year.

where is it this week, I'm guessing Lubbock for #7 vs #8 ?

Yes

regular season games aren't necessarily do or die anymore
that might be part of the reason the numbers are trending lower
plus, most fans tuned in to see the head gear go on but now that's no longer part of gameday

Since 2022, seems to be a trend in a Week 10 dip, which is understandable. Not sure of the date used by Grok for the 2025 projection line, but the #s in the OP seem to be outperforming past years #s.
I'd assume Disney retains the leverage over YT TV

It’s unwatchable to me.

I did see that YouTubeTV now accounts for 15% of ESPN subscriptions, so there should be a small dip. Not really any good wall to wall Saturday of games either. Will pick up in November as the rivalry games start and playoff implications come more into play.

They could have been front and center for that Baton Rouge entertainment in week 9

Actually, from what I've read, Google/YTTV have the leverage on Disney. I'm not sure how, but I've now several articles that state they do. But who knows? Either way I've canceled YTTV and moved on.

I paused my YouTube account. I refuse to give ABC/Disney anymore money than what I’ve already been giving them.
I subscribed to Sling for now in place of YouTube since it isn’t owned by Disney like Hulu and Fubo are. I’m not going to download their app.
My price in sling went down, albeit the content is not as extensive and the quality is worse since it doesn’t have the multi-view.

Disney actually has very little leverage. YTTV is part of GOOG, and only accounts for around ~2.5% of their annual revenue. Disney reports ESPN is roughly 20% of their revenue stream.
Disney needs YTTV and their 10,000,000 (and growing) subscribers more than Google needs Disney.

He is polarizing, but his addition to the show has brought a younger crowd and energized their ratings. 2024 was a record year in viewership and they were up almost 30% over last years #s through Week 8 of 2025.
It is why he gets to openly call execs out with no fear of being fired, as he has the major execs happy and sits center stage on GameDay.

Yes.
Each had a team that has fired their HC and expectations didn't meet performance.

These two rivalry games have been about as one sided as a game can get. Kirby owns UF and Day owns Penn state. The UGA-UF game had a lot more drama.
