That y’all are hanging on to yalls coach for two reasons?

1. Thinking he is yalls only shot at possibly beating bama this year.

2. Because yalls higher ups are aware yall are not able to lure a good coach right now due to the amount of better programs needing one too. So hanging on for one more year is the best strategy.

Y’all ok with this?

Sometimes punting is the best play, the market isn’t exactly flooded with coaching talent right now and a lot of good programs are in the market which could drive up costs. People are trying to figure out pay for play, roster mgmt in the portal era. Honestly keeping hugh another year sets you back one year, lowers buyout, allows fund raising time, gives future potential coaches the illusion auburn will give you time to succeed(important after harsin debacle) and gives you ample time to make an educated hire. Hiring your 4th option for more money than hes worth could set you back several years.

Not really.

Lost to Oklahoma by 7
Lost to A&M by 6
Lost to Georgia by 10
Lost to Missouri by 6 in 2OT

They have played the 4th toughest schedule in football. All 4 of their losses came to ranked teams, and only the Georgia loss was by more than 1 score.

In all honesty- they aren’t that far off.

No reason for them to jump off a cliff just yet even though everyone else has.

If they any semblance of an offense, they would be really good.

Let me paint a real clear picture for you.

2020 6-5
2021 6-7
2022 5-7
2023 6-7
2024 5-7
2025 4-4

That IS lower tier SEC

They outplayed us and should have won that game. Only difference was that Drink has a team that has refused to lose in the 4th quarter over the past three years. Auburn has had a tough time finishing games. Auburn's Front 7 was the toughest we faced all year--better than Bama's and definitely better than Vandy's.

Auburn has a good defense and some talented skill players, another year with the portal and a little cash might do wonders for them. But I hope not !!!

2025 is the current year and as I pointed out, all their losses were close loses to ranked teams.

They are probably about the 25-30th best team in the country.

Is it the QB or their OL, which has been abysmal for years?

Time will tell.
