Why are any of you signing up for anything when there's a literal live stream of every college football game streamed for free EVERY WEEK on YouTube. Last year streams were being taken down but this year???? I've watched every collapse without issues unfortunately

The question of whether you can find the broadcast on youtube or not while the game is ongoing has to lead to anxiety.

My buddy was complaining about that this morning. Sucks. When I was in Georgia, I had Dish Network. Overall, it was pretty good but they were always having some kind of price war with one channel or another. Got tired of it

I would overpay for a solution that somehow didn’t deal with these ongoing contract disputes

I signed up for $50 a month so u didn’t have to mess with chasing them down and swapping streams 6 times a game. This and I get the games in 4K so that is a nice feature too.
My problem is that I watch nothing else on it so without it, there is no reason to keep it. I’m going to give them until next week and then cancel if they are still fighting.

I dropped youtube tv and switched to fubo sports package. Disney owns fubo.
quote:
The Fubo Sports package is a new streaming option that offers a focused selection of sports channels for $45.99 for the first month, increasing to $55.99 thereafter. It includes popular networks like ESPN, NFL Network, and various college sports channels, but availability may vary by market.

As an old man yelling at clouds, this streaming bullshite has turned into a complete mess.
I seem to remember people thinking streaming would let us cut costs and be more selective and pay for channels or services we actually wanted.
Now they all seem to raise rates all the time and these contract disputes make it where you cannot watch the stuff that actually made you subscribe in the first place.

Problem is now all the channels have started their own streaming services so they like to play hardball with the streaming platforms. I'm not defending YTTV here, but Disney being a-hole, again.

I don't disagree, I am just in more of "they all suck" mode atm.

100%. I got an HD antenna last season and it has worked well anytime these disputes have happened.

This is on purpose. ESPN wants you to use their app/service so they go to Google with insane price demands hoping during the laspe you move to their app where they eventually will raise the price once.

Agree. I think we all knew this would happen. Just a couple was no issue but now every channel/platform wants you to subscribe. Then the price hikes happen. We fell for it for a while but we finally just stopped. We have Xfinity cable which is very good in my opinion. It is a good usable platform with lots of good features and it has been reliable. We have HBO with it and we subscribe to Netflix still. That is it.
Wife get paramount plus free from work or we would not have it.
My TV watching has gone way down since we relocated. I have a Youtube Premium family subscription and the is probably the most watched thing we use. I also have a Tidal music subscription which is also used daily

I have it basically only to watch Auburn play. Ive watched more games on YouTube it seems. They arent shutting down streams this year, which surprised me. Ive watched 3 games start to finish on the same stream

I just got Spectrum because of the Fox dispute right before the Baylor game. Don’t regret it so far.

I would only get it for football season, time to cancel.
