I assume LSU will take a little longer, they have not gone through all the stages yet.

I mean Layla can stay in Oxford to raise the kids. Ole Miss can have Knox since he doesn't want to play for his dad (most kids/parents don't want that situation at the college level). LSU takes Lane. Just like Drew Bianco! Everyone's happy!

Why does LSU not understand the importance of this to a man's life

I am OK if I never hear the word "famuly" again when it comes to football....

He won't leave Oxford because of this picture?? The worst take ever, if he wants the job at Florida or LSU he is gone.. His family will fit in the same way in either Baton Rouge or Gainesville. You aren't some elite program my man

There’s definitely not a quality of life difference between Oxford and Gainesville/Baton Rouge. I’m sure his entire family and extended family living in Oxford will be thrilled to move and “fit in” there.

So family are not allowed to go from one city to another with each other? Landry would probably be just fine heading down to Baton Rouge, especially if Weeks hang around for another season. You’ve got Austin Thomas down here who we heard is going to be very involved in interviews, watch out for that. Lane loves Frank Wilson, I’m sure it can’t hurt the thought of reuniting with him as well. We have great HS football down here in Baton Rouge, the number one HS quarterback for 2027 is sitting right in Baton Rouge. There are plenty of great high schools Knox can go and continue his career as a high school quarterback. The real question is does Lane have the balls to actually get out of his little velvet ditch down there in Oxford and try to come lead the Tigers? That I don’t know if he does. I guess we will see.

The irony is he is named Knox because I'm guessing he was conceived/born when Lane was at UT.
She says "stay the course" when Lane bolted after one season.

You are fooling yourself if you believe Lane or any coach is above leaving especially in the NIL era. It has changed everything. I have no idea what he will do nor do I particularly care

So it's been grey almost as long as y'all have had that laughable 2003 West SEC championship banner up

lol… all Kiffin has to do is call his old buddy Saban to find out how well he will fit in in Baton Rouge. As you all know, he says it’s the biggest mistake of his career leaving Baton Rouge. Him and Mrs Terry still have many friends down there and businesses they have invested into that are doing well. If Lane truly considers this, you know, he will call him up right away. Do you know who else will call? His best buddy Coach O. What did he do when he left Ole Miss? Came and won a natty. Keep dreaming if you think Oxford vs BR is gonna be what keeps Lane from leaving.

I doubt Lane leaves Oxford. If he's smart he'll realize or have someone explain to him he can forge his own historical path at Ole Miss rather than following in the footsteps of someone else's at LSU or Florida. If he goes to LSU or Florida he'll be compared to Saban, Spurrier and Meyer. He'll always coach in their shadow. It's no different than DeBoer going to Alabama, he won't ever separate himself out from under Saban or Bryant.
If Kiffin knows what's best for him, he'll stay put right where he is, the portal and NIL has allowed teams like Ole Miss to get just as good of talent as the Alabama's, LSU's and Florida's of the world. So why leave?
