The early 50's Bear Bryant was at Kentucky. WW2 vets were only in their mid 20's. Civil War soldiers were still alive.

In this fricking retard's defense, he didn't specify what country's civil war veterans were still alive.

Could have been Russian Civil War vets.

Last time Ole Miss won the SEC was 1960. Ole Miss hasn’t even sniffed the SECCG since its inception.

You have to have a degree of emotional intelligence to embarrass yourself, so his lack of self-awareness probably helps him get by in spite of the idiotic posts.

BUT... to be fair:
quote:

Albert Henry Woolson (February 11, 1850 – August 2, 1956) was the last known surviving member of the Union Army who served in the American Civil War; he was also the last surviving Civil War veteran on either side whose status is undisputed.

Veteran James Hard was in his 20s during the war. Lived to be 109

quote:

James Albert Hard (July 15, 1843 – March 12, 1953) was the last verified living Union combat veteran of the American Civil War and the third-to-last verified veteran overall; only drummer boys Frank H. Mayer and Albert Woolson post-deceased him. Though he claimed to have been born in 1841,[1] research in 2006 found that the 1850 Census indicated a birthdate of 1843.

Actually there was that one week in 2007 after the Textbookgate sanctions were handed down when Tennessee became (very briefly and by one game) the winningest school in SEC history. Of course, on Saturday of that same week Alabama destroyed them 41-14 and ended that little interlude, breaking their entire fricking program in the process.

Crazy, I would’ve thought the back to back conference titles in 97-98 and the first BCS championship occurred more recently than the 50s.

You are not very good at this trolling thing. A few reasons that you suck at it.

1. You have zero knowledge of SEC history.
2. You hate Tennessee
3. You are an idiot.

The last time Tennessee was the best football program in the SEC was in the 1990s. 1998 was probably about 10 years before you were born.

The last time Tennessee had the best athletic department, all teams ranked in the 3 major sports, and the best NIL collective in the SEC. That was when you woke up this morning.

I may be mistaken, but I think they went 13 and 0 and won a national championship in 1999.
