Drink and Tim Beck...

Would be a formidable combination. Drinks recruiting with Becks offense. Have to drop a 2 million dollar bag to make it happen.
On a separate note, it makes me happy that LSU stealing our DC isn't working out as planned.

Blake Baker is NOT leaving!!!

I don't want him to leave, just mentioning that their investment wasn't working. But I see how it could be confusing, I will rewrite.

Lol nah I know you aren't insinuating that.
I was being sarcastic about his Twitter post before he left Mizzou.

If LSU had any run offense, they win today ...
And Baker was overrated. It was the recruiting ... proof when Batoon takes over and we get better (recruiting) ...

Batoon had me frustrated through much of the second half tonight as much as Moore.
This secondary...........
The defense did play big late and into the overtimes. Thank goodness.
Let's see what Beck looks like after a season without Pavia at QB.

Defense played pretty well tonight IMO. Batoon has held his own.
I’m more worried about our offense.

Defense is fine when they have limited green behind them.

Tim Beck is a really good coach. but Jerry Kill is the genius behind Beck. Kill was Beck’s DC when he played DB for him at Pitt State and then he was his GA after he graduated.
Kill left Pitt State for 3 years and coached at Webb City. When Kill went back to Pitt to be the OC Beck was one of his assistants.
Beck later followed Kill to TCU, New Mexico State, and Vanderbilt.
Kill mentored 2 other local coaches John Roderique and Scott Bailey. Both played with Beck at Pitt State and were assistant coaches for the Pitt State DII national championship in 1991. Roderique won 12 state championships and had a 315-35 record. Bailey won 7 state championships at Lamar and 1 as an assistant at Webb City. Bailey came back to Lamar in 2023 and won 2 more as an assistant.
I think Kill is the main reason for Vanderbilt’s success. Lea didn’t start winning until Kill and Beck. Lea’s record before kill arrived was 9-27.
2021 2-10 record
2022 5-7 record
2023 2-10 record
Beck and Kill hired
2024 7-6 record
2025 6-1 record

Tim went to the same HS as Bo Pelini and the Stoops.

Jerry Kill is a helluva coach. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

There’s a reason Jerry isn’t a head coach. And it’s likely his health.
He took a break from coaching at Minnesota.
Came back for a short stint at New Mexico State and was still having health issues there.

Agree - Seizures get him and I think he had cancer too.

Kills been on borrowed time for a few years now. Be a home run hire but for that.
