I don't even think Cignetti is the first guy Pedo State is going to call. Rhule is probably their plan A. I know Cignetti is the hot name right now, but he's in his mid-60s and not a long term answer for anyone.

DeBoer isn't going anywhere unless he just hates it here. No one is giving him a raise over what we're paying him in addition to paying whatever buyout he'd owe us and the buyout of whoever they fired to free up the job.

He has zero connection to Penn State.

Not worried.

Not worried about deboer leaving for Penn State. He just now is starting to get things clicking here and 10+ mil a year to boot. They would have to offer 12-15 million per year plus buyouts for everyone. Just ain't happening.

Realistic options are rhule, lea, golesh lashlee and sumrall.

They’re paying 50m to tell Franklin to leave. They’re not paying 60-70m to tell DeBoer to come on down.

Im not really either...but Penn State fired Franklin mostly because he cant win the biggest games. Deboer's MO is basically beating the best coaches in the biggest games

Absolutely.

In his short time here DeBoer has proven to be an elite recruiter and talent evaluator.

Lotzeir Brooks was barely a 3-star recruit from New Jersey that we identified early and he looks like a future All-American.

Germie Bernard and Parker Brailsford are All-Americans and neither one was highly ranked.

Most of our issues are from players recruited by Saban.

I could be wrong but I thinks he’s saying CKD being mentioned means he’s doing well. Him being hired away would be a bad thing.

If I'm thinking correctly, if Penn St wanted Deboer they (or DeBoer) would be responsible for paying the buyout to Alabama. The good thing about buyouts is they cut both ways. Penn St is going to really have to want him bad to pay his $50 million buyout on top of already paying James Franklin a $50 million buyout.

If Brent Key keeps winning at Georgia Tech he will be in demand, if he wants to leave his Alma mater.

Agree with everything you said, but Brooks was found by Saban, he initially wanted to come to Bama because of Saban and the Alabama aura

He had been camping at Bama under Saban, Deboer gets the credit, but Saban found him

Man, I have wanted to say that for awhile now but didn't want to draw the wrath of the board. I really think that when the last of Saban's recruits are gone things are going to get turned up a notch. Not that I don't think there's some talent in that group, it's just not the right fit for what DeBoer has in mind.
