Lawrence, Kansas and COMO are both 38.9 latitude, so they're both south

Lawrence has basketball and football, and sometimes decent baseball. And they've got Overland Park and the Kansas City TV market. My great aunt lives in Overland Park, and she's GREAT !! She grew up in the bootheel of Missouri, which is certainly Razorback country.

Columbia, MO has small town ghettos and is surrounded by nondescript fields that I guess grow hay, and I'm sure claim to grow some kind of crop, but you don't ever see it. I don't think I've ever seen cattle in COMO.

They don't have a baseball team, or a basketball team.

They have one good pizza restaurant and a Hooters.

Problem is that Lawrence is run by gays and furries. Literally, they’re all over the place.

You have another month of pain before you need to worry about Mizzou.

Also Faurot Field sits directly at the exact tip of your beloved Ozarks.

If the SEC is going to expand it will decimate the ACC in 2030 when the GoR is set to expire.

Miami, FSU, Clemson, & North Carolina are in

TBD on if they take any of Duke, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Louisville, or Georgia Tech.

For sure out are Wake Forest, NC State, SMU, Stanford, Cal, Notre Dame (partial), Pitt, Syracuse, and Boston College.

Nothing on I-70 is in the Ozarks. Jeff City isn't even considered Ozarks.

ND + Virginia to B1G

UNC, Miami, FSU, Clemson to SEC

VT, Pitt, SMU + 1 to B12

20 teams each

GT, Louisville, Duke will probably get picked up by someone as well.

Big 12
PAC - BYU, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State (Cal/Stanford/Boise)

SWC - Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor, Houston (SMU)

Big 8 - Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kansas, Colorado

Big East - West Virginia, Cincinnati, UCF (VT, Pitt)

It's a solid league, it just doesn't have any whales..

KC tv market is probably 75% KU. Went to Lawrence about a year ago for a bball game, their fans were a caliber than Mizzou. And by higher caliber I mean intelligence, charisma, and the women are better looking.

I haven't been to Lawrence in about 30 years, but I wasn't impressed.

Manhattan was awesome. I remember when they beat Nebraska and carried the goal posts down Aggieville.

So I'll always be a K-State > Kansas guy.

None of them I would consider the south. And if you doubt, ask someone to grab you a coke from the store and they will bring you back an actual coca cola even though they've never once seen you drink one because you didn't call it "pop". And they will think you want to go to an actual grocery store to get it, not the corner store. That's a gas station.

I wouldn't mind having a Casey's pizza though. Not that it was the best pizza or anything, but for nostalgia reasons.

Verdict: MidWest.

Mizzou always on the mind of Arkansas fans. Now they're openly fantasizing about being kansas so they can have a real rivalry with us.

I live in Duluth, MN. Over half of Canada lives further south than me.

If so facto*, they are “south”.

(*Yes, people. I know.)

BigX would be STUPID to not pick up GT.

Puts them smack dab in the middle SEC market.

I would say they are midwest, but they have a compatible football culture.

I still think you should all be in the Big12 though. It's not personal, it's just when college football was best.

I actually don’t dispute that. If the Big XII could have been run with the same “one for all” ethos of the SEC, AND if the TV money could have kept up, I liked that world well enough.

Neither of those conditions was remotely close to being true.
