Horton is a big dude with great hands. Brooks reminds me of Waddle (though that could be the #17), and has that “it” factor to catch clutch passes.

Both guys are ballers (though Horton got chewed on the sideline for something last week).

The reciever core is so good. And we should have Lotty, Ryan, and Horton back next year.

Any chance Horton jumps pro? His measurables probably give him a shot at being drafted

I would love to see Cole Adams get some run at wide receiver because of his sure hands. But who would we take off the field to get him in the game ? Hopefully Ryan Williams will get more minutes this week.

Man, we got dogs in receiver's room. We got Horton, Bernard, Meadow, Scott, Adam, Williams, and Brooks. Like it's legit instant crazy. Not only that, what we got coming for 2026 and 2027... crazy.

I was skeptical of Horton but I’m pleasantly surprised. Big target, good hands.
Brooks is a cross between Waddle and the closest thing I’ve seen to reminding of David Palmer. I really dig me some Cole Adams but I’d like to see Lottie return a punt.
Also, my grandmothers name was Lottie.

Receiver's look good for the most part.

Need to give Sheppard some credit here. I liked seeing him chew some arse against Miz

I liked Kobe and K.Law, but those dudes are not at the level of Horton and Brooks.

Rico Scott is an interesting talent. He seems to be super athletic. But i dont know where he fits in best.

If Brooks was 3 inches taller he'd have been a top 100 recruit. The evals on him and London Simmons were fantastic

Could you imagine not having these two this year and thinking RW was going to carry the load. They've been a godsend.

I would say a poor's man Waddle. He doesn't have the speed of Waddle but he's really good. He's fearless with great hands.

I like to laugh at some of you nerds. A downvote with no response to defend your position other than it hurt your fee fees.

Here's the difference in the two:

Waddel = 5 star national recruit with 4.3 speed. Despite being smaller, Waddle can line up in the one or two spot. He's done this at Miami.

Brooks = 3 star recruit with "estimated" 4.46. Some of his family, coaches, etc. brag that he ran a 4.3 but we know that's likely an exaggeration, or a Paul Bunyan tale like some on this forum like to believe.
Brooks will always be a slot receiver. At this level and especially at the next level - if he makes it there.

Maybe he sees more snaps this week if Ryan is still dealing with his injury and obviously Meadows will be out

Huh? What the crap are you writing about? Defend what position? That we really like Brooks and that he reminds us of Waddle? Don’t think anyone mentioned he WAS Waddle, just that he did - and wears his number.

You REALLY don’t need to be on this board with this horrendous attitude about some simple fan thread about Bama’s new WRs.

I mean, this is an Alabama fan board. wtf?

It's kind of incredible how quickly this staff has shored up the WR and QB rooms.
Both had been suffering for a while.

This staff is amazing at talent evaluations.

Calm down. I like Brooks just stating my opinion. You guys are so sensitive; it’s so easy to ruffle some of y’all.

True except that Brooks is much faster, but Palmer probably had better body control. Brooks looks like he is/will be a great player. One thing that often surprises observers is that both are/were strong as an ox.
