Does it seem that Jesse has some kind of vendetta against Ryan Williams? In the Fla State game he kept harping on Ryan dropping a few passes and started that narrative. Yesterday he kept asking when was Ryan Williams going to make an impact when it was clear he was injured. He was also listed on the injury report this week.

Ryan was purely a decoy yesterday. I watched the game again and he was barely running his routes. Ty never looked his way.

Jesse just seems to have something against Alabama in general. Maybe it was taking two Ls in 1999.

Palmer and Tessitore are the worst duo of announcers in college football right now. Listening to them is absolute torture. ESPN despises our program. They were openly promoting Missouri yesterday and they put those two clowns on the broadcast just in case Mizzou pulled the upset so that Tessitore could act like the over the top clown that he is like he did during the FSU game.

Yes it seems that way, but I don't think he actually does. I think Jesse is just kind of a dumb guy who doesn't have much to add to a broadcast compared to many of his peers. Then they pair him with a clown like Tessitore and it's amateur hour. I was never a huge fan of Gary, but he at least did his homework and knew a lot about both teams every week. Can't say that about either of those two.

It's reasonable to ask why Williams never made a catch. This has been a horrible sophomore slump. Williams basks in the spotlight with all his NIL deals and his podcast - he's even on the cover of the video game. I don't see the issue with pointing out when he's not executing.

True, the 3 most hyped players before this season were Arch Manning, Jeremiah Smith, and Ryan Williams. We've kind of adjusted to Ryan Williams having a sophomore slump, but most of the country is still wondering what's going on.

Exactly. As much as I couldn’t stand Verne and Gary at least Gary actually knows football. The majority of the ESPN commentators are trash. Including McElroy and McDonough. The way those two were whining about the goal line fumble last night made me think that at least one of them had money on the game. Herbstreit and Fowler are the best.

Not when you have access to the injury report and it's literally part of your fricking job to read it. Then he'd have the sense to say "I wonder if he's just a decoy" like all the people who did read the injury report. He clearly had no idea he was playing hurt.

Truth is there is way too many games to broadcast on Saturday than there are announcers to cover these games.

The mute button is the answer. You know the game so why listen to these people. Try it and you will never have to complain again.

Repeatedly when he should have looked at the injury report and know something was still lingering.

Yep, you nailed it. There was another moment during the game where Missouri’s top receiver got banged up and had to leave the game. He came back in later which Tessitore clearly called out on the broadcast. Then like two series later, Palmer says something like, “Wow, Kevin Coleman is back out there.” Just sloppy work by Palmer yesterday.

Idk about vendetta or anything like that, but I rarely pay attention to announcers, but gotta say, Palmer was exceptionally terrible yesterday. Not even really because of bias or anything like that, dude just sucks at his job.
