Pate convinced me. Texas wins RRS.

Here’s why:
OU cannot run the ball very well, and will be limited in scoring, especially if Mateer can’t go.
OU will sell out to get pressure on Arch, and Sark will dial up some screen passes to take advantage or a big strike score.
Texas is the more desperate team and will play more desperate.
Low scoring game that Texas wins 20-17

I think Texas wins as well, depending on what adjustments they make this week.
Florida exposed some major weaknesses.

He is wrong. Oklahoma is going to kick our arse up and down the field. No jinx. That's actually what I think is going to happen.
If you look at last year's game, Oklahoma had a lot of success until they started turning the ball over, and then the wheels fell off.. If they can take care of the football, it'll be a long day for Texas.

It’s a tough spot for Hawkins.
Of course, anything can happen in this game. Usually, unexpected things DO happen.

Don't buy it. BigBro is well studied in the field of reverse woofing and counter-mojo.
I too say Texas will win. Given this season in the SEC, it's the only result that makes sense.

Low scoring game but OU defense gets a pick 6 to provide the margin of victory.

The key for Texas is for Arch to not stand back looking for the deep man and to dump the ball off as Caldwell did on his lone play.
If he can't do that he is toast.

The Texas that showed up in the swamp gets blown out.

That's not on Arch, that's on Sark. Sark wanted to attack Florida deep but the offensive line couldn't give Arch time for the play to develop. 45% of Arch's passes on Saturday were 20 yards or more down the field. That was by design and unfortunately Sarks game plan was a failure.

An interesting stat is that Billy Napier is 3-1 against top 10 teams in the swamp. It is an incredible home field advantage.
Texas is a better team than they showed. But yeah, that #9 ranking was fraudulent. The only positive spin is that Florida exposed weaknesses and Texas have a week to find a way to mitigate them.
I still think Oklahoma wins, but I’m not dismissive of Texas as most everybody else seems to be.

Texas might win but it will not be because they want to win it more or are more desperate as Pate stated.
I'm surprised this is his stance on this one because he should know how OU gets up for this game more than any other game.
Also, OU"s schedule is crazy hard after this game. This might be their easiest game left on their schedule so that would make them even more desperate than Texas.

This is what I mean.
Sark is like an architect that doesn't know shite about construction. He comes up with designs that may or may not be buildable.
This is why he is an OC. And an OC only.

Keep those posts coming.
I always want Oklahoma going into the RRS with everyone save for Sooner fans crowing about saxet going to win.
I expect a hard fought game from both teams. I also expect Coach V to pull out all the stops on defense to force Arch into panic mode.
Go Sooners!
Tuck fexas!

I wouldn’t trust too much in Pate in many football-related matters.

90% of there offensive issues go away if they had a guard that could play at all. Left Guard got whipped all game by UF backup DT’s and Right Guard was only slightly better.
