True but they do have a top 10 largest city behind them, and Miami itself is a huge culture. They have a lot of supporters. I don’t recommend it, but if you ever do, go to Miami Beach. There is a shite ton of people that will have hurricane outfits.

And Vandy does?

#1 all-time program is always a draw.

Miami the city isn't close to top 10. Not even top 40. Metro is, but let's be honest, not many are from the area, and their football is soccer.

The city of Miami itself is small geographically. It’s the opposite for say Jacksonville where it’s the largest city in the US geographically.

I own numerous homes around Florida one being near West Palm. The Miami Dade area has almost 8million people. It’s the 5th or6th largest metro in the US. It’s fricking massive and they all love the hurricanes before any sports team. Especially the Cubans.

You can fit all of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, x 2 in the suburbs.

I hate the criminals, and the city, and am glad they built a canal between them and my 17m home in Manalapan, but it is very big and they have a big fan base. The issue for them as well as most sports teams down there and Tampa, etc.. is on a hot Saturday afternoon there are a million things to do in Florida, as well as a million other sports, hockey, soccer, etc..

They’ll never have the committed fan base most southern schools/states have

Most of the television audience were Auburn, Tennessee and LSU fans pissing their pants in hopes of a Vandy win.

I love this for Vanderbilt. Even under Franklin no one was scared of Vanderbilt. Now no one wants to play them.

Largest city in the lower 48, by total size... which includes water. There's a "city" in kansas with slightly more dry land and 0 water sq miles, and then a few areas in Alaska. I'm thinking 3 or 4, and they're magnitudes larger than duval. There definitely was a time jax was the largest, after consolidation in the 60s, but it is no longer #1. It's still obscenely spread out, over 875 square miles. Nothing is more wild than meeting folks in jax who don't drive, for non dui reasons

It was clear in the first quarter Miami was going to kick fsu’s arse. Wasn’t as interesting of a game.
