Is the running game.

Vandy is 2nd in the SEC and 18th nationally in rushing offense with 1,117 yards through 5 games. Their 6.59 ypc is 4th nationally.

Alabama is 14th in the SEC and 90th nationally in rush defense with 642 yards through 4 games. Their 4.34 ypc is 92nd nationally.

If Vandy runs the ball effectively, it will be another long night for Tide fans.

Nice to see Vandy has reached the rung on the ladder now where finally it’s fair game to troll them too and hurl unnecessary insults at them like the rest of the league does

The traditional Bama-Vandy 40+ point shootout is coming to Tuscaloosa this Saturday

Yeah, I'm afraid Vandy is in for a serious reckoning in Tuscaloosa. Bama will be looking for revenge and then some.

As bad as Bama played last year, and as bad as the run D is again this year, that game came down to a pick 6. If Bama wins the turnover battle they'll win the game.

The Bama "revenge tour" games rarely turn out as dominant as I'd like.

Vandy with Pavia/Kill are dangerous for Bama's defense. Their run-first spread option offense filled with read options, RPOs, and pre-snap motions have proven Bama's kryptonite even back to Saban. In particular with an experienced QB who rallies the entire team, and can hurt you with his legs or arm. He was making tremendous throws last week and critical, crushing runs.

Bama will have to be fully switched on for Vandy.

Vandy has a hell of a team but lets put the brakes on just a bit and see the juggernauts they have pounded so far...

Charleston Southern
VirginiaTech
South Carolina
Georgia State
Utah State

I think that speaks for itself. There's some stat padders in there for sure.

You act like that game was some day-long back and forth affair. Bama never led and was down by 12 late in the 4th. Yes, they almost completed a comeback, but they were trying to catch up the entire game.

Even if Bama had managed to take a lead, there is nothing to indicate that Vandy would not just keep scoring, too (disregarding the clock). Bama never did turn the tide of the game.

You may, since he's came in for mop up duty in every game so far.

Utah State did hang almost 40 on them last week. Very tough opponent

It was a shitty thing for him to say. I never wish harm on anyone in a sports game. Take him out of the game defensively through scheme and execution.

But, pump the brakes. Vandy very well could win, but the Vandy backup is not walking out for mop up duty.

Not "acting" like that at all. Bama was a hot mess last year. They played completely uninspired with a dyslexic QB and turned the ball over multiple times and Vandy took their soul. That was last year. I don't deny the run D isn't any better. Do you deny that Bama's offense isn't markedly better? The game comes down to turnovers. Simple.

The path is a dead end road. Simpson may set a record in yards and TD 's against that shite defense.
