One takeaway from the presser.

The BOT has requested he develop a plan to increase finances for coaching pool, and other expenses.

That tells me,
A. They want some FAFO money to spend on a new staff.

B. They dont think HY is doing his job in a productive manner and developing booster investment.

C. He just got a give us a plan to save your job task

d. He gone

HY isn’t a charismatic leader. He’s a bean counter.

So a few weeks ago he said we're not positioned for a championship. Then today he says Pitt didn't have the resources he needed to be successful. And that our coaching staff budget with Pitt was towards the bottom of the SEC. But IN THE SAME INTERVIEW, said that we have a highly competitive package for our new coach, and that they're going to have the revenue sharing and everything else financially that they need to compete in this conference. Cuz after 5 years of mediocrity, for some reason our funds are flowing healthier than they have been.

Fire this motherfricker, please. He's either lying his arse off, in one way or the other, or has no clue wtf he's talking about.

I think he's saying whatever he can to try to smother the flames coming off of his arse, and he'll be gone in short order.

Hopefully.

Hunter isn't making the hire. Supposedly the university has targeted Rhett, Sumrall and Dillingham and HY isn't touching anything with it.

No bullshite Barry Odom. No bullshite Dowell loggains like Hunter would have gone after.

Only bama, aggy (almost double), tenner (50% more), Texas and UGA (10 mill more), auburn and 0U (3 mil) have a higher total spending on their football program. Yes Arkansas is second to last in coaching salary spending.

It's double speak, spending more on bad coaching isn't going to fix the problem, acting like being 8th in total spending justifies finishing in the bottom 4 of the conference doesn't maths either.

I find this hard to believe tbh. Why the hell is he employed then if he isn’t allowed to make hiring decisions in our biggest sport? What is his purpose?

Let's not act like odom and loggains is too far removed from that list.

2 of the 3 is out of the Gus tree. One is at his alma mater near his home town and he other is 2-2 with all the advantages in NIL Arkansas doesn't have.

For the same reason Julie Cromer Peoples was put in the position she was. To do the dirty work and take the heat so the GOBN can do what they want without having to directly deal with the heat.

Best option of the three, but if Kentucky was able to get out of stoops contract...

Sumrall would be a tremendous hire.

Young, knows the SEC, has won at a high clip at multiple schools, and balances a great defensive background with an innovative offense.

But of course because we’re Arkansas it must assuredly won’t happen.

I think they are strongly urging him to take this SEC job everyone is talking about.

That seems to indicate the funds weren’t there for Pittman because they didn’t think he was a good enough coach to leverage them but that they plan on opening up the floodgates for a new hire.

I think that’s pretty much a settled topic, at least to me, no one gives money to a loser.

The funds were plenty when Yuracuck signed Sam's raise.

Get this fricker outta Fayetteville, soon.

The danger of putting someone in a spot they were not ready for. Especially with trying to translate Choad's super complex offense.

I'm not exactly thrilled by having Craddock back on campus though.
