I don’t think you will. The second half of the season is coming and the A&M posters left seem realistic.

Why would there be crowing? Play the team in front of you each week.

BAS is real, baw. We won’t be crowing until we win the SEC. In my case, not even then.

It might be different if we looked like a complete team, but right now, there are too many questions, especially defensively. We could go 10-2 and make the playoffs or 8-4 and bow out of the Alamo Bowl. Only time will tell.

I’m just happy it’s not Jimbo at the helm; otherwise, we’d be 2-2 right now.

Our most difficult opponents are still on the schedule.

It will never happen. We’re perpetually stuck in Texas 8-4 mode. We literally won’t believe it until it actually happens and even then when it does, we’ll expect something like probation or some inexplicable event to ruin it.

I hate to brag, but we’re sort of experts at perpetual disappointment.

That being said, I’m cautiously impressed with what Elko’s team is doing … the offense stood up against ND when we needed them to, and the defense did the same against Auburn.

Building some good momentum in the process. But it’s way too early for any “crowing.”

We are a good team, not a great team. 10 wins is probably the ceiling. We will probably be the last playoff team invited or first one out.

We are not a playoff team. 7-5 or 8-4

We won and deserved to win, great to see the defense play so well. Holding Auburn to 0-15 on 3rd and 4th down is just amazing and the improvement was palpable. Offense was off and got yardage but not TD's and the penalties absolutely killed us all day. Certainly felt like they were trying to keep Auburn in the game at times but that's football and you have to play through it and A&M did.

No reason to do a lot of crowing. It was a game we needed to win and we won and won ugly. 7 more SEC games to go and State is not going to be easy next week either. I think most Ags are looking at this schedule and seeing that if we can hold serve at home and split the 4 road games we are in the Playoff, long way to go to get there but this was an important step.

Biggest takeaway with this team though that gives me encouragement is they are making plays when they need to make them. This team is showing they can take a punch and shake it off and fight to win. Lots of other Aggie teams have faded when they were punched or they just couldn't close. If they can clean up the mistakes and keep that mental toughness anything is possible, there is a ton of talent on both sides of the ball.

I don't think there is any dominant team in college football and the difference between #1 and #10 is less than ever, I could see any of them beating the other as it stands. It's going to be a long rollercoaster season.

We have excellent skill players. Have some issues on Oline. Missed assignments, penalties etc. Reed is streaky but really seems unable to hit guys deep that are wide open. He’s overthrowing deep balls consistently. FG kicking is cross your fingers time IMO.

Have weapons everywhere but keep shooting ourselves in the foot. If we can clean up the offense then we can play with just about anyone

That’s why, except for a few idiots, we aren’t crowing about anything..check in with us in about four or five weeks. Hopefully

No reason to crow when they beat a team that averages 5 wins. Auburn is the bottom of the SEC.

Just keep winning. That’s all that matters.

And you really can’t crow when you don’t put teams away. We dominated against Auburn yet we let y’all hang around. I will take the win but there is a shite ton of work left to do.

We won a hard fought game we were favored to win. No need to crow and GG to Auburn.

This.

Celebrate for a day and then get ready for the next game. Be humble.

It is respectable. Plus, they have ridden the roller coaster of despair more than once.

Auburn has a real playmaker at linebacker. Was a hard fought game. That’s a tough 2 game stretch on the road.

I expect Auburn to bounce back after the bye week and play good football down the stretch.
