In native languages Missouri means
Now go forth having been enlightened
quote:
The name Missouri, meaning 'people of the big canoes,'
Now go forth having been enlightened

I don't know about the people, but they have some nice country. Two summers ago wife and I flew into OKC, rented a car and drove I35 to Canadian border to see what itt looked like. Fellas,we have a beautiful country and a lot of productive land and potential. The whole drive was wonderful land, except Oklahoma city, what a nothing place. Norman was better and loath to say the BlowU campus ×as nice.

Mizzou is also the location of The Exorcist, which is based on a true story.
I’m terrified of the demons that roam Missouri. They possess people!

This is true of Missouri, but not at Mizzou - The Exorcist is based on true story of a priest at Saint Louis University hospital who conducted exorcisms. Rumor (or maybe truth, I don't know) is that there is a wing or room or something in that hospital that is closed off to this day.

I have visited the Branson/Springfield area many times and love it. You can think of that as far north Arkansas.
I have been to KC and St. Louis and those are getting to be pretty midwestern culturally. I have never been to the northernmost part of the state - probably feels a lot like Iowa. Its a border state, after all.
I don't know why so many crap on Mizzou in this forum. Its like hating NIckelback - they're just too bland and inoffensive to get worked up over.

I'm sure the last guy Hardy ran over consoles himself with the thought "ah heck, it's just Mizzou."

You are correct. The vast majority of Missouri residents I've come across in actual life, and it's been quite a lot, are damn fine people. And their state is beautiful.
But here's the deal...I can't recall a natural landscape I've seen in my life that I didn't like...and most of them I have loved.
But Missouri is largely very pretty outside of the cities. I'm not a city-loving person though.
However, there are a few dickbags around here that root for Mizzou who are very unpleasant. But I don't think the Rant would be what it is without those turds here, so I say let them be them.

You could say that about literally every fanbase here.

Let me clear this for you:
1. The Ozarks are nice. But that's about it.
2. The two largest cities are trying to escape.
3. There are three kinds of suns:
Sunshine
Sun flowers and
Sons of Bitches

That's correct. A few people are dickheads throughout life. And then some generally nice people turn into dickheads on the internet. It's just what happens.

Hopefully the next object you gleefully take up your arse breaks off and you die of excruciating internal bleeding.
