Eh, I don't know.

Manning was the only QB Smart was looking at in that recruiting class. UGA wasn't in need of a QB that year but Manning was the one guy Smart thought was worth a take that year.

I don't think that was based on name. I think Manning has the tools.

I won't be shocked if Manning puts it together at some point this season and plays excellent from there. But I agree that right now he's struggling a bit.

oh its more than 10

Mateer
Stockton
Aguilar
Taylen Green
Pribula
Reed
Pavia
Simpson
Sellers (when healthy)
Simmons or Chambliss
Shapen
Nussmeier

haven't even mentioned Arnold or Lagway, who both have shown flashes during their career

Arch might be better than Calzada, maybe

The backups at Auburn and OleMiss are better than Manning.

He wasn't this bad last year. He actually looked pretty good outside of some poor decision making. He's just comically inaccurate this year. I'm starting to side with the conspiracy mongers who think he's secretly injured.

Only saw clips from UTEP but he looked really bad.

Does the Manning family regret that they choose texas? He could be developed somewhere.

We’ve only seen the third string and I can confirm he is not as good as Arch yet.

A much better runner but he’s got a ways to go as a passer.

He was not great in high school but I thought the tools were there. After 3 years with Sark and he looks like that? I’m not so sure.

Kirby wanted Manning 3 years ago is your take on his obvious troubles this year? Maybe he’ll pull it together, but right now he’s clearly struggling.

Yes.

Having talent is a big part of being successful at any position in football. It's much easier to "put things together" if you're extremely talented than if you are simply a mediocre talent.

Can you really call a QB a QB if they skip it off the turf?
