Tech could be 10-0 when we play.

Pitt
BC
Syracuse
VT
Wake Forest
Temple

What a joke of a schedule. 1 ranked team (other than us) and that team is 1-2.

Maybe some of the youngsters will finally get to see what it looks like when GT is "good".

It could be like 1990 all over again. Its good for the state and Atlanta when Tech is good. That would be wild if we went into that game as an underdog. I think Tech will lose 1-2 games though.

another way to look at it is that NOW, we will have one of the more "respectable" ooc schedules instead of possibly the worst

IMO Brent Key is a dang good ball coach. We do not need that 70 miles away. I like tech when their team and fans are miserable.

I hope they are undefeated coming into the Benz, will make that arse whooping so much better

They would also have to beat us and win the acc to get in the playoffs. Don’t know if I see them putting a 2 loss team with zero good wins

Depends on the opening but I also think someone will snatch up Buster.

UCLA and VT will have openings but both aren't very good jobs these days...UCLA has fallen off the map.

ETA UCLA fired Foster bout 2 hours ago.

Key is like every other GT coach whose #1 path to elevating the program is "beat Georgia". That's why he cried last year. He'd just spent an entire year game planning for UGA and came up short. Meanwhile UGA was finishing up a grueling schedule and looking ahead to another war with Texas. Whenever we win a berth in the SECCG, GT immediately becomes a trap game.

A non-conf "rivalry" game the week before the SECCG is the last thing UGA needs, especially when virtually all of the upside of that game goes to the other team. Georgia refuses to consider doing what other P5 teams have done and drop that non-conf game when it becomes counterproductive to their own interests. There are many reasons for that decision, but logic isn't one of them.

GT is a better job than UCLA. It's probably better than VT, too.

Playing UGA is the Superbowl for Tech. So we always get their best shot.

We went into that game sleepwalking last year, and barely snuck by, but I believe we'll go into it eyes wide open this year.

VTech is far more supported. True tech fans are all dead or in school now or have anti UGA football autism....

He played at GT. VT isn't good enough to pull him away from that. Outside of Beamer, has VT ever been any good? GT at least has some history.
