I haven't seen it discussed here, so here's the deal. 25 is our magic number, and 2025 is a Divine year for the Sooners. I'll explain:
The Sooners' 7 national championship years: 1950, 1955, 1956, 1975, 1975, 1985, 2000.
2025 is the 25th anniversary of OU's last NC in 2000.
1950 to 1955 = 5 years.
1955 to 1956 = 1 year.
1956 to 1974 = 18 years.
1974 to 1975 = 1 year.
5 + 1 + 18 + 1 =25.
1975 to 1985 = 10 years.
1985 to 2000 = 15 years.
10 + 15 = 25.
2000 to 2025 = 25 years.
25 is the square of two prime numbers, 5x5.
It's also the sum of the first five odd numbers: 1 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 = 25.
It also appears in Pythagoras’ Theorem discussions because it’s the smallest square that’s also the sum of another two square numbers: 25 = 3² + 4².
Biblically speaking, 25 is a golden number.
In biblical numerology, the number five is often associated with grace. The number 25, being five squared (5 x 5), is seen as a representation of intensified or "grace upon grace". 25 can also be understood as the sum of twenty (representing redemption) and five (grace), suggesting a double measure of grace given through redemption. Redemption of course being represented by the ridiculously long time OU fans have endured since our last NC.
The book of Ezekiel has many references to the number 25.
After 25 years of exile, God led Ezekiel back to Jerusalem in a vision and told him what measurements to use in building the future temple of Jerusalem - 25 cubits between each parapet, all alcoves 25 cubits wide, and all the porticos of the inner court were to be 25 cubits wide.
After 25 years, God fulfilled his covenant with Abraham, and gave him and Sarah their son Isaac - just as He will fulfill his covenant with Sooner Nation. Some may know of "Isaac and the number eight" which refers to the biblical account where Abraham circumcised his son Isaac on the eighth day after his birth, signifying a new covenant and beginning... but more clearly signifying the Sooners' 8th national championship will this year.

2025 minus last year 2024
That equals 1
1 is only 1 more than 0
0 is the number of trophies OU will have this season

If you admit right here, right now, that Tebow better deserved Bradshaw's 2008 Heisman award, I'll give you an up arrow.
Otherwise, frick off bitch.

It's somewhere over 18 if we count them the way Auburn does...

If we use Alabama math it's 17.

In all honesty, 1975 should have been ASU.

Year for what? Have you looked at your schedule from Weeks 6-12?
I see at least 3 losses there. Don't get too excited about beating a Michigan team with a QB who couldn't start for any SEC team except maybe UK. Maybe.

it appears your magic number is 50, so you’ve still got 25 years to wait.. sorry?

Let me know if you can devise a winning formula for picking lottery numbers.
