Logic tells me to take the field, but I also don't see anyone beating Ohio State in a Playoff.
They are young and already look good, and by the end of the year they will no longer be young.

I can't really see anyone but LSU, Oregon, Georgia having a shot of beating them.
Penn State is ranked up there but Ohio State has their number every year.

At this point I'd take the field.

A 14-7 home win vs Texas doesn't scream "we will run over everyone".

Especially when you see that for 55 minutes Utrans offense became invisible against their cupcake last week

Odd question as it is usually reserved for when there appears to be an overwhelming strong favorite amongst the field

Not sure what we have seen from OSU to lead you to believe they are an overwhelming favorite over the field. Have not seen anything to suggest they are even an overwhelming favorite in their own conference

Right now I would take the field. Haven't hit week 3 yet and we don't really know how good teams are right now.

Texas in their house could have easily won that game. Had 5 turnovers, outgained OSU, and Texas D played well. In a playoff format they wont be playing at home for a natty so given many on here thinks Texas is overrated and not a threat I would say the field is by far the best bet here. OSU is good but thinking they are world beaters is silly.

If you played last year's playoffs 10 times, an Ohio State team that was better than this year's team probably wins like 3 of those IMO. Not because they got lucky or anything, its just hard to beat that many good teams in a row even if you are the best team. Someone gets hurt, bad bounces, etc etc.

All that to say, you're silly if you don't take the field.

Seems like it was just yesterday that y'all were going to turn their stadium into Neyland North & dump their Goal Posts in the river.
A few months later and they look almost unbeatable.
Life comes at you fast.

Is this supposed to be a burn? If they actually looked unbeatable that would make UTs loss look better.

And I didn't say they looked unbeatable anyway, so not exactly sure what kind of point you're making here.
