The man taught his DE's to get to the QB which protects the DBs. And we need that. With all this freak talent at DE, there is no pressure and our secondary is not very good. Batoon won't blitz even with more athletic LBs. Carnell is not good in coverage and Burks is still blowing coverage. Kul with this talent at DE would really help cover these deficiencies.

I think the plan was to hold lanes and keep Daniels in the pocket. Force him to beat you with his arm and negate his legs. It worked, but the dbs simply lost too many receivers in coverage.

We should be sporting a hyper aggressive front. Instead it’s passive as frick as we play retard zone. Send batoon back to the sunbelt.

I would agree that was probably the plan. But in obvious pass downs there still was no pressure. Neither of the UGA "freaks" have a bag of rushing moves. Zion remains just a straight line rusher. Michael Sam had "1" rush move, but he did it well.

With this secondary, we need Havoc from the ends. Especially if we won't blitz. I would love to see Kul with this talent.

Not enough stunting and twisting ...

But the soft zone, give up 7-10 if the DL doesn't get there ... has to go.

Our CB/S is elite ... play man and let's see what happens

One of the issues is the 2 UGA guys played OLB at UGA not DE. They need a very good teacher who could teach them the skills of being a hand in the dirt DE.

Kansas was concerned about their OL, we should have seen the freaks give them more trouble.

It was a mush-rush game plan. It was a gutty win, as well. I'm drunk AF, but I'm pleased!

we played gap discipline and nobody goes up the field past the QB. Same thing we did against BC last year successfully.

In addition to this, ku did put 6-7 guys in pass protect. Smart move by them because we couldn't get through that and our secondary was nowhere close to being able to cover 3 WRs.

Kul is a tool, wasn't he the guy that sent out the playbook when Odom took over? Yeah screw him.

Actually there is no proof of that. Zion got through once and Wilson got through a few times. My issue is the DEs are all trying to just run past the tackles.

Those guys chose Mizzou to play in a 4-3 and go to the NFL as DEs not OLB. But despite their god given skills, they need good teaching.

Kul was an asshat when he left. I admit that. But if Bobbie P can go back to Arkansas to run the offense, Kul can come back to Mizzou and teach getting to the QB.

That the lack of rush from the DEs was a scheme. In fact going back to the first game you will see a lack of rush moves from the DE position. Against Kansas lions strip sack was the result of the pulling guard falling, so no one blocked Zion.

In the SEC, coaches have personality issues. Some are straight up assholes. But if you bring something to the team, you get hired (Bobbie P). Kul was a huge gleet (look that one up ughh) when he left Mizzou, but he could help with havoc and protecting the secondary. We have the coaching opening. Give him 200k, 1 year contract, and let him do what he does. What exactly do we have to lose?

Daniels would have ran all over the place if they started moving guys out of gaps. Keeping his line in front of him made him throw the ball outside the numbers. The last thing you want to give Daniels is a clean look at the middle of the field or a hole to escape through.

Yeah. Can maintain gap integrity and contain even with some basic stunts and twists ... a lot of time it looked like our ends were trying to bull rush/overpower kU oline ... granted line and 2nd level did great. 3 yards rushing and multiple sack/pressures ...

Main issue i had with the defense was soft zone/2 deep vs man-to-man. Outside of Henderson, their receivers are mostly 2/3* ... Daniels dropped a dime on that 50 yard pass in 1st quarter. But most of the other receptions were to wide open guys ... sure Kansas does a lot of pre-snap action ... but some were just too easy cause dline couldn't get pressure or corner/ safety was 10 yards off ...

Overall a 350 yard difference ... and without scoop and score, it's an 18 point win ... so probably just nit picking at this point. Lol

Unpopular opinion - Kul's line would give up 350+ yard rushing to best SEC offenses way too often if he were back.

Daniels is a good QB. Should be schemed for to reduce the damage he does.

We need more from our LBs. And please, please, please, we need a Mizzou defense to figure out how to cover a TE on passing plays.
