DeBoer -In a quiet moment of reflection with wife, what do they really think of Bama fans?

Do you think they had any idea what could happen if things took a wrong turn?

I’d legitimately be scared of a Harvey Updyke / Roll Tide Willie like psycho harming my family or poisoning my food.

They have a Left Coast mentality so no.

If you don't understand or can't handle the pressure of an elite position, you're probably in the wrong profession.

Saban knew how to keep them at an arms length distance just based solely on him shutting down the running of the gumps during spring football a long time ago. Kellen is oblivious and he’s now welcomed these psychopaths to eat him alive.

Yeah but the kind of “pressure” y’all are into is violence and murder.

If they didn’t , they do now

DeBoer was either clueless when he took the job, or he has brass balls to follow Saban. Either way, he's going to face the toughest test of any coach in college football going forward. Even though he has a pile of money, he has to be feeling complete discomfort.

That’s on your admin for unloading the Brinks truck to hire this guy. Not on DeBoer

DeBoer made a decision that set his family up for generations. He probably wants to get fired and get out of the state and take his 70 million dollar buyout with him.’

How much of his contract is guaranteed, and for what amount currently?
I don’t think they care with that kind of golden parachute.

"When they offered me $70,000,000 to coach their football team I had no idea that they took all of this so seriously."

They have a history of expressing their displeasure of their coach in inventive ways…

The thing people remember is The Brick. Because it's so Bama, such a wild, glorious example of how serious southern football is taken, such an object lesson for future Alabama head coaches: Do not let your team go 0 for 11 in the air (three interceptions, eight incompletions) and lose to Ole Miss for the first time in the state of Alabama, on homecoming, on national television, or you will get a brick thrown through your office window.

You need to be an alpha to be head coach at Alabama (or anywhere down south to be honest).
DeBoer isn't an alpha.

He will go to a team out west and do well.

They never think that it could be as bad as people say. Their ego says they can handle it and thrive, until that brick is sailing through their window.
Same with Harsin, no way he thought it could be as bad as they say, and then

I believe every successful coach in the SEC has a little SOB in him and knows how and when to let it appear.
