But..... where's mizz-who???? They're a dominant team this year. At least that's what they believe.

I don’t think Auburn cracks the top-25
BYU, Utah USCw, Ga Tech, and Mizzou all had more pre season votes than us and had huge (points wise) victories save Ga Tech but they had the best road win of those teams
It would be nice though

I felt the same way yesterday. However, there have been 8 ballots posted this morning so far, and 5 of the 8 have Auburn included… 3 of those have Auburn in the Top 15.
That’s a small sample size sure, but if 37% of ballots have Auburn in the Top 15, the chances of landing in the Top 25 are actually pretty decent.
I put Auburn in the 21-29 range because I don’t think us making the Top 25 is guaranteed, but I now think it’s better than 50/50.

Top 10 looks good, it is what I expect it to be. Cannot wait for Penn State to be exposed in no way should they be at #3.

I like the tier increments you made.

I don't see us jumping Georgia or Penn State but it would be cool!

While you're probably correct, Notre Dame is too high

In 6 of the 9 ballots made public so far, LSU is ahead of Penn State… one of those that had PSU higher is a voter who works for “PennLive”. I feel pretty confident LSU will get the 2-spot based off that small sample size.
The variance outside the Top 9 or 10 is all over the map.
Arizona State is as high as #9 in one ballot, but left out completely by 2 of the 9.
Michigan also got left out by one voter but is as high as #11 in two others.
As for SEC teams in these 9 public ballots, here is the range:
LSU: #2 to #4
Georgia: #3 to #8
Texas #4 to #9
S Carolina: #8 to #24
Florida: #10 to #25
Oklahoma: #12 to #23
Texas A&M: #12 to NR (NR by 3)
Ole Miss: #14 to NR (NR by 2)
Tennessee: #18 to NR (NR by 2)
Auburn: #11 to NR (NR by 4)
Alabama: #16 to NR (NR by 5)
Missouri: #20 to NR (NR by 8)
There will be a lot of movement that’s for sure.

Wonder why we went 10-25. We easily won 55-0....

Not a bad list, but I’d put FSU ahead of both ND and Clemson.

It’s a range. One voter had you as high as 10, and another as low as 25.

Way too high based on what I saw but I think that Frosh QB could be good. He was their best player lol

I'd love to see LSU ranked so high as 2, but I foresee the Tigers moving up to #5 at most. There's certainly no reason to move them ahead of Georgia at this point, and I only see Texas dropping to #4 since, despite the fact they didn't look like world beaters, they only lost by a TD to Ohio State in Columbus. That's pretty much what one would expect in a matchup between #1 and #2, or #1 and #3.

LSU will be much higher than 5th. Ten of the 65 votes are already known, and LSU is between 2-4 in all of them. It’s almost statistically impossible for LSU not to be in the Top 4 based off the current sample size.
PSU has come on strong with the last few ballots that have gone public. I still think LSU will be #2 but it’s going to be close between them and PSU. Both should be comfortably in the Top 3.

Doesn't it come out today?
Posted on 9/2/25 at 10:37 am to AUTiger789
Based on what I've seen in just week 1, LSU should be #1.
