Was watching Get Up on ESPN this morning and Finebaum was saying he’s been in contact with some big money boosters who say they want CKD gone.

I know, I know, it’s Paul Finebaum and he’s been known to play fast and loose with the truth but in this instance, I suspect he’s correct that some of the heavy hitters want CKD gone.

Question is, are they fed up enough to fork over the money? Otherwise, we’re stuck with his goofy arse a few more years.

Finebaum and ESPN are a match made in hell. They are perfect for each other.

1) Paul Finebaum is a garbage troll who throws poo against the walls of his cage.

2) Any validity would almost certainly be saber rattling looking to light a fire under DeBoer's butt.

Dude needs to see this as a major, MAJOR wake up call. 4 losses in two years as a two touchdown favorite? He needed to get up Monday morning with some fire in him and do something to save his phoney-baloney job.

HARUMPH.!

ESPN has hit rock bottom pairing Finebaum and Heather Dinich together to troll Alabama fans. All of them can literally go to hell. They, meaning ESPN, used to be a fun network to watch when Stuart Scott was there. But they are so different now and not in a good way. The broadcast on Saturday was disgraceful. Jesse Palmer and Joe Tessitore are horrible to listen to. I hate that we have a TV contract with them.

Brother both of those on-air personalities have been garbage since the beginning. ESPN became garbage around 2009-2010.

If you’re still watching then you’re the problem, as well.

5-7 with a loss in the iron bowl and he’ll be fired that Sunday morning. The overall health and financial well being of the university are too intertwined with the success of the football team at this point to allow it to be killed and buried.

We stand to lose a lot more than $70 million if we turn into Tennessee after Fulmer

I only watch ESPN for the games. Only because we have no other option. ESPN/Disney has a monopoly on sports coverage. I’m well aware of how shitty all of the regular programs are. Even Sports Center has become unwatchable with a lot of their personalities. Not to mention the network is involved with sports betting.

I miss game day when it just two hours. It was real football talk and not the manufactured hype and drama that you see now. I definitely miss Mark May and Holtz with Reece being the mediator.

It is, and I tend to agree that he gets a 3rd year, but there is a point at which it becomes so bad that it'll cost us more than $70 million to keep him.

The show now overshadows the game on all sports coverage, not just ESPN.

Agreed. Crazy to think about.

The program was on extremely good footing. The only way you could frick it up is being grossly incompetent. I’m not sure how KDB can have huge wins and take teams to the Natty and then look like this. It’s basic principals that’s missing.

If I were CKD, I would have woken up yesterday morning scared to death for my job. I would have called a meeting this morning with the staff and it would have been intense. Changes were going to be made and your tenure on the staff was on a week to week basis. If I saw a performance like Saturday, heads are going to roll and I’d pull analysts onto the field if necessary to replace you. It’s time to circle the wagons and get this shite turned around or all of us would be out of a job. And I might have a $70 million buyout, but the staff doesn’t so if they want to eat, they’d better get their shite together and turn it around. That means holding players as well as coaches accountable and if they aren’t performing, benching their asses. Playtime is over!

Kane Wommack needs to be under extreme scrutiny moving forward. I believe that after Saturday he is on borrowed time as Alabama DC. The defense has not shown any ability to stop or even slow down a spread option offense with a mobile quarterback.

Hard to be scared to death about a job that will pay you $70 million no matter if you win or lose. Dude probably hit the snooze button on his alarm this morning.
