I saw pretty much these same rankings on On3. I love that jump to 3, but personally do not believe the pollsters will put us anywhere higher than 5.

Not defending Tx, but the powers to be will look at who they played and what game they played.... then only drop them but not out of the top 10.
Regardless if the rankings.... it's just game 1.

LSU vs Florida is gonna be a dogfight. Florida has some guys this year and Lagway will be better. It will be one of the toughest games of the season for LSU.

No Florida state? FSU, miami and Florida all look solid this year and should all contend for a playoff spot. I wouldn't be surprised if 2 of the 3 get in. Florida just has a really tough schedule though.

Arch struggled, but Texas dominated both lines of scrimmage and should have still won running away. 5 turnovers and dumb penalties are the definition of beating yourself. The only issue I really saw were he made a lot of off balance/sidearm throws which led to errant passes.
But as per the usual, Ohio State has as much talent as anyone, it was in the Shoe, and Patricia was throwing a ton of exotic blitzes/coverages at Arch. If anything, people seriously underestimated how well Patricia would scheme to confuse an inexperienced qb. The guy was the engineer of the 2nd Pats dynasty's defense and is a 3x SB champ DC with no film out on what kind of defense Ohio State would run

Without a doubt those defenses of OSU were otherworldly (Brooks even said that HE had never seen them). No doubt Arch was shell shocked. That said a QB has to make the easy throws when given the opportunity. He didn’t and I don’t care how you dice it, that doesn’t bode well for the future.
