We are poorly coached. It showed last year, but we blamed milroe and gave coaches a pass in their first year. He was an indicator.. Just like the terrible o line...an indicator. The pourous defense... Indicator. Offense struggling this year.. Indicator. Team not prepared for away games... Big indicator.

Y'all... CKD is just not that guy to continue winning NC after Saban. We paid him too much and now we're stuck with him. I'm seriously hoping he learns from these losses...

It’s definitely both/and but ultimately the coaches are responsible.

Womack should have never been hired. Not that’s he’s the only coach at fault but his resume wasn’t the slightest bit impressive. Schools like South Alabama actually had better defenses when he was the HC as opposed to the DC

Yup. Lot of people tried to sunshine pump Womack but that was a god awful hire for our program pedigree. No one near the top 25 would've touched him

I think one thing that cost us was the early substitution of defensive players, especially the db’s. We got burned when we had the younger ones in…not sure why we were doing that so early in such an important game.
I always questioned why Saban played so few players without substituting in fresh ones - now we know why I guess.

I have always been a blame the coaches first, but frick that. These are paid professional athletes and they played without any effort, pride or intensity. It not like the Shula years when the team was short handed and lost but they played their guys out. This current crop played like they were afraid of contact.

And DeBoer, Wommack, Roach ….yeah they suck too.

Pretty sure we're blaming them both equally

People on here had a tough time understanding that under Saban, Milroe lead Alabama to 11 straight wins, a SEC Championship, 9-0 conference record, a playoff appearance and was one decent center away from a national championship.

It's always been the coaching, not the players.

Fair game to criticize the frick out of them. This is their job now.

The "poor college football players getting criticized on a message board" angle lost its luster when most of these players are getting paid upper income salaries for the State of Alabama.

Sure, they shouldn't be getting death threats or accosted in public. However, they're paid to perform. They aren't there for the love of the game or school.

It’s both. Our S&C has apparently gone to shite. Players used to police that themselves as well, but not anymore it seems.

Our defense is just terrible, and I put 90% of that on the coaches. The scheme is just horrid and we haven’t stopped anyone on the run consistently in 2 years

Duboser is a dead man walking. We can’t afford the buyout but also can’t afford to wait and let him do untold damage to the program.

Why did our players slip almost every single play?

Did we show up in the wrong cleats or something?

It was posted all over the internet that FSU replaced their turf only 2 weeks ago, which isn’t enough time for it to “set”. Add the sloppy rainy weather and we were sliding all over the place.

Only saw one FSU player slip while trying to make a play.

Did we wear rubber or hard plastic cleats? Short turf spikes or regulation spikes for muddy conditions?

While yes, the above isn’t why we lost, but it shows lack of preparation, attention to detail, and lazy prep by our multi-million dollar personnel/staff.
