it's the acoustics of the stadium.
that half roof thing above the two sidelines traps and focuses the sound.

Mizzou's other Football Stadium...yeah it's not CFB...but it is in Missouri

Just so we are all on the same page...decibels are on a logarithmic scale, so an increase in 3dB is double the sound pressure intensity, while it takes an increase of around 10dB before the sound subjectively appears twice as loud.

That and 30+ years working in Industrial Hygiene. Do you want me to get into when you use A vs C weighting on noise dosimetry, or what states use different frequency ranges for audiometric testing?

ETA...I also only listed the 3dB rule while OSHA uses a 5dB doubling exchange rate for dose. I use the ACGIH exchange rate of 3dB.

Mizzou vs. South Carolina has become a solid match-up. I still see all this whining and pouting about Mizzou being in the SEC on this board, but it's never from South Carolina folks.
