I quit going to games 8 years ago. I was spending around $10,000 per year on tickets, travel, food etc etc. I had enough of being overcharged for tickets, bloated travel costs etc. Today, I have a nice TV, comfortable tv room, nice grill etc and watch every game.

Too much money unfortunately. Gamecock Club membership costs (Around $4000 a year) We have 8 season tickets. We're traveling for the first game against Virginia Tech in Atlanta. Parking. The shite adds up.

It's why I can't get behind NIL. It's tough being able to afford simply going to the games themselves.

That sounds about right. As long as something is fun, why not? Things change, and people have made sure of that. Class is now just a place kids go to for school.

Very little. Used to be season ticket holder spending north of $10k. When admin went cheap hiring Pittman, I went cheap and stopped buying tickets.

Since this current NIL setup? Zero. I'm not spending my hard earned money to watch a bunch of contract breaking entitled brats who have zero loyalty. I'd rather support the NFL. At least their players have to honor their contracts, or sit out if they want a new one instead of going to four different teams in a month. Used to be a season ticket holder and Bulldog Club member. Not again until this system is regulated.

while I don't go to QUITE as many games as I used to, I still go to the vast majority despite moving out of state 4 years ago. Even with the slow decay of the sport itself and the ever increasing cost associated...there is still NOTHING to replicate being there in a good lower level seat seeing the light bounce of those helmets and seeing/hearing the action up close. No big screen or HD setup can ever replace that.

Way too much! I have been an OU season ticket holder for going on 26 years now. Upgraded to an outdoor suite a few years ago that comes with a hefty donor fee. Plus the Red River trip every year, 1 or 2 away games, plus playoff/bowl games it's a lot of time and money.

I used to try and get to at least one game every year, but not anymore.

Cons far outweigh the Pros when it comes to college sports anymore.

At the game:

You can cheer and high five the guy next to you.

Go to the bathroom and miss a big play.

Try to look around the fan in front of you who REFUSES to sit down EVER!

Pay $12 for a beer or upwards of $10 for a coke, not to mention the price of food.

Be forced to have your neighbor almost in your lap unless you buy 2 or 3 tickets to sit comfortable on the sheet metal bench.

At home:

Cook what you want WHEN you want.

Enjoy the game with or without friends in your lap.

PTG TGP (Pause the game to go pee) and not miss a thing.

Buy a 12 pack for the price of 1 beer at the stadium.

Enjoy the cold HVAC vs 100 degree heat (and sometimes rain).

And traffic! Hah! SCREW the traffic.

I pretty much only keep YoutubeTV for CFB, so probably just shy of $1000 annually.

Less than a few years ago. This year I dropped from 4 season tix to 2. I haven't been to an away game in years.

I'd say about 4-5K a year. But it's steadily dropping.

I'm afraid to start adding it up.

Platinum Spur - $15,750
Parking spot - $5,000
4 tix in The Zone - $6,500 or so
1 away game a year - this year Ole Miss. Cost - to be determined.
Bowl game - Cost - to be determined.

300 miles round trip from Myrtle Beach
hotel after night games
It all starts adding up

If it brings you happiness then it’s worth it. You’re not going to be in your death bed wishing you had less fun

Waay too much.....

Since NIL has ruined College Football I would assume other purists like myself have pulled way back. I dropped my 7 Season Tickets that I had for many many years....reduced my donations....and now am with you.

I set up my tailgate on my home patio...invite a lot of people over and enjoy without the hassle...

Less than $100 for parking and food. I use my coaches pass to go to a few games a year

these days about $200 as I try to take my son to one game per year. I gave up season tickets 10 years ago and have only been to 2 games since.

Couple games. Small gift. Some gear. Pay for YTTV when prob wouldn’t otherwise. Sometimes catch a game in DFW like b12ccg or a bowl or even a TcU game.
Save some money because use for opportunity to visit friends and family that I want to or would go visit anyway.
$5k probably.

Not much. We'll buy individual game tickets from time to time, but we only donate to soccer and T&F because they desperately need the money.

Whoo man, a lot. Hartman Fund, 2 season tickets, parking, food, frequent games at Mercedes Benz, away games, bowl games, ancillary non profit contributions, etc.
