Fresh off their NC meat judging year, the team went overseas and took a world title. I mean my goodness, this meat judging team rivals the 2019 LSU football team as far as dominance.

Texas A&M is officially an international champion.

The university has announced that the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department of Animal Science Meat Judging Team has been crowned the international champion at the Intercollegiate Meat Judging (ICMJ) competition, held in Wagga Wagga, Australia.

The Texas A&M team was reportedly the only group from the United States invited to compete in the contest and attend the associated conference. While in Australia, the team was reportedly able to connect with Australian producers, attend educational sessions, tour local sites and train for the competition, the university said.

In addition to the team receiving international champion honors, team member Grace Real also reportedly earned the title of overall high individual.

Texas A&M stated ICMJ is an Australian organization made up of multiple universities with the goal to educate students and promote careers in the meat industry. Each year, ICMJ reportedly hosts a conference and judging competition to identify Australia's top five meat science students, who then travel internationally to represent the country.

Texas A&M hosted the Australian team earlier this year as they visited the United States, the university said, forming a relationship between the two teams thanks to the help of graduate coach Gage Walsh.

Just weeks before the competition, Texas A&M and a team from Japan received an invitation to Australia to participate in the competition, according to A&M. With the help of fundraising efforts and donor support, the team was able to make it to the event.

Several members of the Texas A&M were reportedly unable to participate, as they were already involved in "high-profile" internships across the country.

Most will make fun of this but I say good for them. I bet it was a fun experience for those students.

They had a special technique where they'd hold it in their hands and mouths for hours on end

To beat universities from Australia and Japan is pretty cool. I didn’t even think meat judging was universal like that but not surprised. I’d imagine Argentina is good at it too.

I think this year's Meat Judging squad at A&M is more impressive than the 1929 LSU football team. Nobody examines meat as well as A&M does.

Y'all really should be nicer to Aggie. They've made it such a point to kiss Alabama's arse since they've joined the conference.

I mean, if you’re going to do something you might as well be the best at it.

Setting my normal aggy athletic trolling aside, thumbs up to the aggie meat judging team. A&M has great ag programs, and our food supply is super important…

CONGRATS!

Between TAMU and UTX - this should be an automatic win every year. Nobody knows meat like Texas.
