Why aren't Louisiana Cajuns at least Big 12?

Shouldn't they be?
I've heard in secret circles before that LSU bureaucrats have kept ULaLa down for decades? True or no?
Fighting for their name to stay Lousiana - Lafayette, well they lost that fight. They should also drop Rajun and just be Cajuns.
But then look how many t-shirts LSU might lose, which is why it can't happen. And what if Louisiana actually beat LSU? Do they ever play? I've never seen it.

I 1000% believe that if the Big 12 tried to invite the Cajuns - LSU would shut it down somehow.
Louisiana would mysteriously turn down the offer.

Yes.
They have only scored one TD against LSU in 22 meetings. It was a special teams TD (blocked punt)
And that was in 1924.
They are the only State opponent to never score an.offensive TD vs LSU. Even Southern and Gambling have scored

Support for them is local. Poor attendance in all sports even when they are winning.They used to be a women’s softball school,but that fell off.

32-20 in baseball
5-0 in Men’s Basketball
9-0 in Women’s Basketball

In their best football season, they barely averaged 15-20K a game. They, like all the other State schools' athletic departments are heavily subsidized by the State. To think that LSU & the State Legislature waste a second worrying about ULLLL is dumb & dumber. How many times have you played Houston?

Fun fact about ULL football is that they beat your little brother Aggie probably back in the 90s at home. Not sure why Aggie football traveled to Lafayette, but they did.

Aside from the lack of financial and fan support, ULL does not meet the academic standards required to be invited to the big 12
