The SEC gives false hope

Never again will I overestimate my team just because it plows through the weak arse SEC and gets first place.

Texas was never that good a team. We would routinely lose games on Tuesday nights to supposedly "lesser" programs. But then we would bust that overrated SEC arse on the weekends.

I began to think maybe we were good. What a load. What a crock.

The SEC is no metric for anything. It's a self-bloviating support group where poors get to feel like they really matter by gathering in a circle and bellowing about how great they are.

I'm glad some of you get to banter on and die another day after surviving the likes of Little Rock, Stetson and Creighton.

The SEC malaise is an illusion. The Big XII was more a test of validity. In the SEC, you never know what's what.

Go UTSA.

I told a buddy during the SEC tourney that UT would flame out of the post season early. To many big injuries not for it to eventually catch up. They over achieved their arse off in the regular season

There truly arent any elite teams this year. This is anybodys championship with maybe a slight nod to whoever comes out of the side of the bracket with lsu, arkansas, and tennessee

My apologies. When you lose to UTSA and Texas State, each loss feels like 3 losses.

That's how I'd feel too if you got your arse beat by Aggie in every men's sport this year.

Is that why 6 of the last 7 national titles were won by different SEC schools?

Well, when we lost to UTSA and I was very concerned about it, everyone on Surly was saying "midweek games don't matter". But it turns out they definitely do.

We went 5-9 in the last 14 games played. Terrible play to end the season, the team fell apart after Reed went down.

Last 3 out of 4 Championship Series were SEC vs SEC, and that 1 was Oklahoma (now it the SEC).

Texas was propped up by a VERY favorable schedule…just like football x2 for this coming season.
How do yall look at Oklahoma’s schedule and not arrive at this privileged, soft assessment of yourselves?
Can you not see?
Are you blind?

LSU, Georgia, Auburn, A&M, Florida played in Austin. They all combined for as many wins as UTSA.

SEC sucks this year.
