Didnt like what I saw from Georgia last year as a team. Beck was pretty sloppy in big games but the abysmal rushing game was the biggest surprise.
Georgia vs Texas was a battle of the two better teams in the conference and neither could run for shite all year long.

Yup, we've whiffed on backs or dealt with major injuries the last few years. Bobo's whole playbook is based off of play action, and if he can't get the running game right it might be a long year for us.

UGA had losses to 2 former West teams. This was the most SEC losses since 2019. That seems retry significant.

Got wrekt by bama and ole miss. Lost to ND. Went to 8 OT with GT. Quality wins against Texas and Clemson. Massively helped by the 12 team playoff expansion.

If I recall correctly, despite a 1st half boat race, UGA was actually leading with a few minutes to go in the game. I wouldn't use the word "wrekt".
Speaking of rambling wrecks, no excuse for that game against Tech. I offer no excuses whatsoever, other than we did actually win the game.

ND was an incredible team, not overrated like ND teams typically are. And UGA's QB's first ever start, on the road, in a playoff, against arguably the best defense in the country. There was no shame in losing that game given the circumstances. There were plenty of Disney dawgs who thought we would murder them, I was not one of them because I'm not a moron.
Ole Miss outplayed us, no excuses on that one. They were just the better team that day.
But to the point of the OP, despite all that, the Georgia Bulldogs are your 2024 SEC Champions.

Hate to say it, but it's true......which is why most sensible fans only talk crap when when they don't have someone in the conference that has historically owned them like Bama has us or UF used to own us. Gonna be interesting to see if we can shake that monkey off our back this year. I'll say one thing, if KD walks into Athens this year and beats us like a rented mule, it's probably gonna spell the end of any enthusiasm I have for CFB. Due to all the changes in the last few years it's hanging by a thread anyway. I'm happy to die and will count myself blessed to live long enough to see 21 and 22.
