Not a fan of Monday night Championship games but non the less I'm I'll be in Miami watching the Sooners play somebody.

Its been that way forever they are never going to try to compete with the NFL playoffs. The host cities want the fans to come spend Fri-Mon night spending $$$. If you put the game on Friday then the losing teams fans probably head home on Saturday.
The notion that Oklahoma will be playing on 1/19.2026 is pretty damn funny. Vegas has their odds at about double that of A&M and even with Auburn.

Speaking from a lot of experience, you get used to the schedule the more you get there. I hear your personal trepidations, but still struggle to relate. BAMA fans have long since gotten passed all that hypothetical stuff.

They weren’t always on Monday Night right? I remember the OSU-Miami game in 2003 being on a Friday.
