What's a school that you casually root for on the side?

Basically a school you half arse keep up with and you wouldn't mind seeing them win.

Me? I have a soft spot for Illinois. I thought their colors were cool when I was young. I'd love to see them make a splash in the B1G

What if they play each other, and a catastrophic event isn't an option?

Then it depends on which team losing helps Texas most

77-0 was a catastrophic event

My favorite teams in order.
1. LSU
2. Whoever is playing BAMA
3. Whoever is playing A&M. - I just like to hear Ags cry, and whine

Michigan State. Thought the spartan helmet logo was the coolest thing in the world when I first saw it at 6 years old in the ‘95 independence bowl. Had no idea who their coach was then or what he’d go on to do.

Hope Izzo gets one more before he hangs it up

This is going to seem strange from an Alabama fan…..but it’s LSU. Oddly enough it started when Nick Saban was the coach…lol

Soft spot for those guys as well. Mississippi really doesn't have any business having three D1 state schools for athletics.

Despite being a teacher's college and not in the SEC... Southern gave it a hell of a run from about 1975 to 1995. Some of those years they had the best team in Mississippi.

Unfortunately it will never be that way again in football... but they are still hanging in there in baseball.

Gotta say LSU. Have a lot of friends who are fans. Miss the Friday after thanksgiving game.

I was a diehard state fan, but I’m strongly considering moving to “casual” status, if not there already.
